Gracie Ann "Nana" Seifert, 83, of San Antonio, went to be with the Lord on Monday, August 29, 2011. Gracie was born October 8, 1927, in Cestohowa, TX, to Stanik and Mary Rapstine Moczygemba. Gracie was a devout Catholic and had a strong belief in church attendance and praying the Rosary. Her 5:00 AM mornings began with a Rosary, a prayer list and a cup of coffee. Gracie was a homemaker who loved her kitchen. She was best known for her delicious turkey dinners, fried chicken, sausage, chocolate pies, scrambled eggs & coffee! Gracie never drove, but always had a ride. It was a treat to hop the bus with her for a shopping trip downtown or the mall which usually ended at the counter with the cheese burger and a shake. She was so loving, yet so feisty. When she said, "NO", it was usually followed by something spoken in "Polish"; and she meant business. Gracie loved dancing, playing cards and her Soaps; but most of all she loved her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. They always knew she was a softy at heart. Gracie is preceded in death by her parents; loving husband of 49 years Clarence Seifert; son-in-law Jessie Bricker, Jr.; sisters Mary Biela and Jo Ann Austin; brother Stanley Moczygemba; and 4 brothers-in-law. She is survived by her children: 3 daughters Jeannie Bricker, Gay Menefee John, Melissa O'Neal Bruce; son Wade Seifert Karen; grandchildren Justin Martin Bobbie, Travis Menefee Yoli, B.J. Martin Mandy, Jamison Seifert Rebecca, Diandra Seifert, Jessica Bricker, Drew, Blake, and Madalynn O'Neal; great grandchildren Noah and Devin Martin, Jacob Martin and soon-to-be Baby Daisy Menefee; sisters Loraine Stobbs, Elaine Pawelek Chester; sisters-in-law Leona Moczygemba, Norene Holubec, brother-in-law Marvin Seifert Jo Ann; numerous nieces, nephews, and many wonderful cousins and friends. A special thanks to the staff at Regent Care Oakwell Farms who cared and supported Gracie for nearly 5 years. Also, a heart-felt thank you to Vitas Innovative Hospice Care who comforted her in her final days.
