Guadalupe Casias Douglas, 92, passed away on Wednesday, November 27th, 2024, following a courageous battle against cancer. She was born on March 28th, 1932, in Marion, Texas to Francisco and Demetria Casias. Lupe, as she was affectionately known, was a cherished mother, wife, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister. Her warm and loving presence will be profoundly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing and loving her. Lupe is preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband Leonard E. Douglas; sisters, Maria Gavina Casias, Antonia Dovalina, Matilde Olivares; and brother, Alfonso Casias. Lupe is survived by her daughters, Jeannie Bandt, Linda Rodriguez (Diego Rodriguez), Norma Soto (Daniel Soto); her brothers, Domingo Casias, Juan Jose Casias, Santiago Casias; her sisters, Victoria Cortez, Francis Medina, Cornelia Lopez; as well as ten grandchildren, Lucy, David, Daniel, Monica, Diego Jr., Michelle, Christina, Sabrina, Rene, Anthony, sixteen great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and her beloved dog Chiquita. In her lifetime, Lupe consistently showed immense love, care and devotion for her family. Her kind nature, strong character, and nurturing spirit deeply touched the hearts of numerous individuals. She served as a beacon of light, reliable source of support, encouragement, and love for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Her impact will live through them. Lupe’s family finds comfort in knowing that she is now at peace and has been reunited with loved ones who have passed before her. Her warm affection and unwavering dedication to her family will forever be cherished and remembered. Rest in peace, Lupe. You will forever be in our hearts. A visitation for Lupe will be held Tuesday, December 17th, 2024 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm at Mission Park Funeral Chapels South, 1700 SE Military Dr., San Antonio, TX 78214, followed by a rosary from 6:30pm to 7:00pm. The funeral procession for Lupe will be held on Wednesday, December 18th, 2024, at 9:30am at Mission Park Funeral Chapels South, 1700 SE Military Dr., San Antonio TX 78214 followed by the Interment at 11:30am at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery 1520 Harry Wurzbach, San Antonio, TX 78209
