“If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself, that where I am, there you may be also.” John 4:13 Harry Karp Jr. Harry Karp Jr. passed away on February 28th, 2025, in San Antonio, TX. He was born on August 3rd, 1944, in Orange, Texas to Harry and Oretha Karp. He is preceded in death by his parents, his sister Diana Lee Jones and great nephew Andrew Alves. Harry is survived by his loving wife Kathleen Karp, his children Harry Bryan Karp, wife Becky, & Holly Kellam, husband Scott Nephew Scott Alves Niece Kelli Alves Grandchildren Heather Karp Chase Kellam, wife Stacy and their children Ryder, Kinley and Charlotte Paige Kellam Kathleen Karp and fiancé Jeremy De La Garza Scott Kellam, wife Chienny and their children Calliope, Alexander, and Remi Courtnie Croley, husband Jon and their children Troy, Isabella, and Savannah A true embodiment of hard work and dedication, Harry opened H Karp Co. in 1974 and ran it for over 50 years, becoming a cornerstone of the construction community. His integrity and service made him a trusted name for generations of clients. Outside of work, Harry was an avid hunter, bowler, and golfer. He spent countless weekends in the woods, perfecting his skills and finding peace in nature. His hunting trips were filled with stories he brought back; often funnier and more colorful than the last. He also found joy in the bowling lanes, where he competed in numerous leagues and formed lasting friendships. Whether it was a strike or a gutter ball, Harry never missed a chance to crack a joke and bring some levity to the competition. He also enjoyed golf, always looking for his next hole in one on the course or a good round with his golfing buddies. Harry’s family and friends knew him as a guy who always had a one-liner ready, no matter the situation. Above all, Harry was a family man. A loving husband of 63 years to Kathy and a devoted father to Bryan and Holly. He was also a doting grandfather to his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whose laughter was his greatest joy. His family was the center of his world. He instilled in them the same values of hard work, humor, and kindness that defined his life. Rest in peace, Harry. You’ll always have us laughing, and your legacy of love and hard work will never be forgotten.
