- Dear Heavenly Father, Lord, we praise your glorious, Holy Name. You are our Almighty Father in Heaven and we give all glory, honor and praise to you. We give you thanks this day Lord, for your precious gift of Hazel Ruth Stovall Lander. Father, words cannot express how much she meant to all of us and how deeply we loved her. She touched the lives of everyone she met with her kind and gentle spirit. She brought love, comfort, strength, peace and courage wherever she went. Hazel was an exceptional woman and an inspiration to all who had the privilege of knowing her. Lord, we thank you for blessing us by putting her in our lives. She was truly an example of your finest work and we are honored that you allowed us the time that we had to share her life. Lord, as you know, Hazel loved you very much. She was a good and faithful servant so we know that she is with you now. We just ask that you take her into your loving arms and let her know how much we all love her and will miss her. Please tell her that our spirits are celebrating and rejoicing over her arrival home to you. Please take good care of her and let her know that we cant wait to see her again. Mama, we are right behind you and we love you so much. Thank you for everything. It was truly an honor and blessing having you in our lives. I just want you to know that being your daughter has been the greatest joy of my life. We will all see you again very soon. Father, we pray all of this in the name of your Son and our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Amen. Hazel Stovall Lander born on April 12, 1938 in San Antonio, Texas went to be with the Lord on January 29, 2005 at the age of 66. She was member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, Wives of the San Antonio Executive Association, Rotary Inner Wheel, San Antonio Womens Club, K-Club and volunteered at the Ivy Cottage. She was preceded in death by her parents, Al and Jane Stovall; and father-in-law, Allen Lander. Survivors include her husband of 47 years, Charles A. Lander; daughter, Lara Marie Hartt; son; Charles Allen Lander II and wife Drita Bev; brother, Lawrence Pete Stovall and wife Rita; grandson, Charles Allen Lander III; mother-in-law, Margaret Polly Lander; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. SERVICES A rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday~Febraury 2, 2005 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 8500 Cross Mountain Trail with a visitation 1 hour prior to the rosary. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday~February 3, 2005 at the church. Interment will follow at Mission Burial Park South. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the charity of your choice or Society of Gynecologic Oncologist Foundation c/o Dr. Fred Massey 7922 Ewing Halsell Dr. San Antonio, TX 78229-3738.
