Henrietta Novella Piper Campbell, 81, passed from this life on January 16, 2015 in San Antonio, TX after facing significant health issues, with bravery and dignity, for many years. She was a native of Texas. Born in Schertz, Texas on June 15, 1933 to Harry and Katie Piper, who were also lifelong Kendall County residents. Preceded her in death by husband, Oliver her parents, Harry and Katie Piper and sister, Stella Lombardino. Henrietta was a loving mother to her children who survive her. Daughter Arlene Campbell Brown and husband Leroy Brown of San Antonio, son Daniel Danny Oliver Campbell of San Antonio and precious grandson Matthew Oliver Campbell of Austin. She is also survived by her sisters, Betty Piper Kuhn and husband Clay Kuhn of Kendalia, TX, Katherine Piper Jones of Austin, TX and numerous nieces and nephews. In San Antonio, she met and married Oliver Campbell and was a joyful participant in his many family activities. Henrietta and Oliver enjoyed traveling and spending time with their family . She attended schools in Kendall and Blanco Counties, graduated from Blanco High School and BS of UTSA. She loved San Antonio and continued to live there until the time of her death. Her professional life was supervisor to State of Texas Human Resources, where she served in various functions until her retirement. She enjoyed meeting people, and to this end, she participated in numerous social groups and activities. In her early years she was an active member of the Randolph Roadrunners Volksmarch, a group who sponsored walks all over the country. In later years, she served Aldersgate United Methodist Church, as a lifetime Member of United Methodist Women and Member of the Administrative Council. She also volunteered her services and skills at the assisted living facility where she lived in her last years. In addition to volunteering, she enjoyed participating in activities sponsored by the independent and assisted living facility. SERVICES Visitation will be on Wednesday, January 21, 2015 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm at Mission Park Funeral Chapels South. Funeral Service will be Thursday, January 22, 2015 at 11:00am Mission Park Funeral Chapels South with Interment to follow at Mission Burial Park South. Dr. R. L. Bramble to officiate.
