Henrietta Alice Perez, Age 79 Henrietta joined her husband, Angelo Perez, Jr, and the Lord on Thursday, February 9, 2023, at the age of 79. A native of San Antonio, she was born on September 10, 1943 to Armando and Rosie Guardia. She was the second eldest of the eight daughters born to Armando and Rosie. Her parents bestowed upon her the desire to care for her family, above all else. This tenet she lived by throughout the entirety of her life. She graduated from Ursuline Academy in 1961 and started work at Joske’s department store downtown. She met the love of her life, Angelo, in 1967. They entered into matrimony in 1969 and shared 50 years of marriage. There has never been a more devoted wife. Henrietta and Angelo’s love remains in the form of their children Angelo Roland, Anthony, Andrea, and Ahren, as well as their spouses Dianna, Mark, and Sue. She was preceded in death by her husband, Angelo and her sisters Rosemary, Lucille, and Clara. She is survived by her sisters, Sandra, Jeanette, Pauline and Norma and her husband, Jimmy; numerous nieces and nephews. After successfully raising her four children, Henrietta found her true calling was that of nurturing children. She went on to provide childcare for all of her grandchildren as well as countless nieces, nephews, and friends of the family. She provided much more than care for these children. She provided a loving second home for each of them. She earned a place in their hearts and minds that was not diminished by time. Many of them keeping in touch over the years. Henrietta touched and shaped the lives of a great number of individuals. Her contribution to humanity has been truly profound. To have left such a positive impact is a success that so few attain. Henrietta’s beloved legacy will live on through her grandchildren Anthony, Alexa, Kameryn, Addison, Alice, and Archer. All of whom loved her dearly and fondly remember her tender kindness. They have sincerely been the light of her life and the subject of her hopes and dreams. May she rest in peace, in God’s light for all eternity. SERVICES Visitation will begin at 9:00 A.M. followed by the Rosary at 9:30 A.M. and then the Funeral Mass at 10:00 A.M. on Friday, February 17, 2023 at St. Matthew’s Catholic Church, 10703 Wurzbach Road. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
