Hilda Lozano, beloved wife to her late husband Raul Sergio Lozano and a loving mother of three children, passed away on the evening of November 9th at the age of 82 years old. Hilda was born in Comales, Tamaulipas, Mexico on August 9, 1940, and first-born to Eladio DeLeon Garza and Odilia Trevino Garcia, who later added five more siblings to the DeLeon/Trevino family. At an early age, Hilda and her parents decided to establish a new life in the Colonia Francisco y Madero, located in Monterrey, Mexico. It was there where Hilda would make some of her long-life friends and eventually meet the love of her life, Raul Sergio Lozano. Hilda was passionate about higher learning at an early age and with the support from her parents and determination, in 1960 she earned her associates degree in Cosmetology, then in 1962, she earned her bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the University of Nuevo Leon. Hilda eventually went on to become a certified public accountant and was among the top of her class. Hilda is considered one of the most beloved among her colleagues and was also deeply admired by all her peers. After graduating from UNL, Hilda and Raul decided to tie the knot and with the blessing of both parents, Hilda married Raul in 1964. With their entrepreneurial mindset, both Hilda and Raul were the proud owners of a beauty salon and restaurant during their early years of marriage but decided that life would not be complete without children. In 1966, Hilda Yadira was born, being the first-born and only daughter, then in 1968, their first son, Raul Lozano Jr. was born. After a few years together, God would direct them to embark on a new journey, and in 1972, Hilda and Raul decided to start a new life, so they packed up their belongings and relocated to the city of San Antonio, Texas. Soon after settling into their new life and well into their first year in the United States, their youngest son, Luis Lozano was born. Hilda together with her husband, Raul and their three children would create a wonderful life together with fun filled adventures, and albeit there were some arduous times, her faith and perseverance never faltered. Hilda along with her husband Raul and their three children would experience some wonderful moments which would pave the way towards a loving lifestyle filled with God’s grace, peace and love. Hilda was not only an educated woman, but was blessed with many talents, among those was being an extraordinary baker, exceptional cook, talented singer, orchestrated pianist, and compassionate poetry writer. Hilda enjoyed expressing her love for others by baking delicious cakes and scrumptious cookies, which she would generously give out to all her friends and family. Hilda was always generous and thoughtful about others, even during hard times, she would without hesitation find a way to offer her generosity with whatever she had to those in need. Hilda was a wise woman and shrewd in her ways; her astute ability to manage any given situation was without a doubt one of Hilda’s greatest strengths. Hilda was tenderhearted and loved her family dearly, always sacrificing her time for her family and making sure everyone was taken care of. Hilda loved God and served as a faith-driven woman, and under her leadership, she directed bible studies, preached sermons, and served as the worship leader, always pouring her heart out to the Lord. Hilda Lozano was preceded in death by her parents, Eladio DeLeon Garza and Odilia Trevino Garcia; one sister, Alma Nelly DeLeon Garza. Hilda is survived by her brother, Armando De Leon Trevino; sisters Nancy Rosalia De Leon Rodriguez, Juana Odilia De Leon Bermea, and Myrna Alicia De Leon Tort; daughter Hilda Yadira Castellanos and husband Othoniel Castellanos; son Raul S. Lozano Jr. and wife Ana Elsy Lozano; son Luis Gerardo Lozano and wife Jennifer M. Lozano; grandchildren Yadira, Karla, Karina, Kayla, Sergio, Addison, David, Edwin, Arturo, Daniel, Juliana, and Andrew. Funeral services will be on Sunday November 20th, doors open at 4 P.M., and the service will begin promptly at 5 P.M. at Mission Park Funeral Chapels Medical Center, located at 8332 Fredericksburg Rd., San Antonio, Texas.
