Irene Ramos passed away peacefully on March 3, 2017 in San Antonio, Texas. She was born and raised in Jourdanton, Texas. Irene will always be remembered as a loving daughter, sister, step-sister, sister-in-law, mother, aunt, cousin and grandma. She enjoyed spending time with her family, although she was often fashionably late due to her “quick” shopping trips. She was also a devoted mother and treasured her time spent with her grandkids. Irene will always be remembered for her infectious laugh, smile, and generosity. Irene is preceded in death by her newborn Baby brother and brother Thomas Ramos; her father Julio Ramos of Jourdanton, Texas; paternal grandparents Jesus and Angelita Ramos of Charlotte, Texas; maternal grandparents Doroteo Jr. and Rita Pacheco of Christine, Texas; and step-brother Jesse Aguilar of San Antonio, Texas. She is survived by her mother, Cecilia Ramos Aguilar and step-father Miguel Aguilar of San Antonio, Texas; son Jeffrey Redlin and daughter-in-law, Michelle Vaughn of San Antonio, Texas; siblings, sister Andrea Garza (David ) of Poteet,Texas, brother Santos Ramos (Ortensia) of San Antonio, Texas, sister Angie Rodriguez (Dan) of Carrollton, Texas, and brother Emilio Ramos (Karen) of San Antonio, Texas; step-siblings Miguel Aguilar Jr. (Charlotte) of Gulf Breeze, Florida, Richard Aguilar (JoAnn Cardenas) of San Antonio, Texas, Esperanza McConnell (Chris) of Newton, Iowa, Edward Aguilar (Sandra) of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Teresa Aguilar (Cindy) of Schertz, Texas; four grandchildren Damian, Jenna, Victoria, and Jadyn; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. Visitation will be held Friday, March 10, 2017 from 6:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Brookehill Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Leonard’s Catholic Church, 8510 S. Zarzamora Street on Saturday, March 11, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow at First Memorial Park Cemetery, 20567 Hwy 16 South, Von Ormy, Texas.
