In loving memory of Jamie Lynne Villastrigo (Matheny) It is with heavy hearts that we share the loss of our beloved mother, Jamie Lynne Villastrigo of Pipe Creek, TX who passed away on October 10th, 2024, at the age of 69. Jamie was born on August 3rd, 1955, to Jim and Winifred Matheny both of whom she loved with all her heart. Jamie was the eldest of three siblings including herself, her brother Jimmy, and her sister Jill. She was known to dote over them, they looked up to her and she was their biggest fan and protector. She graduated from Highlands High School in 1973. She was a devoted wife to her husband Vincent for 38 years and a loving mother to her children Kasia, Daniel, and Sarah. Jamie always put others first and warmed the world with her contagious smile. She was adored by her grandchildren, Jacob, Kayleigh, Evan, Madeline, Layton, and Amira. She cared for them and supported them at every endeavor throughout the years – she was our superhero, always cheering us on! She was a woman of faith, and she loved the Lord. Jamie earned a bachelor’s degree and later a Master’s of Business Administration from the University of Phoenix. She had a successful career in finance and eventually retired after 16 years of service with Valero Energy Corporation. After retirement Jamie became a Professor at Southern New Hampshire University where she taught accounting. Jamie’s life was a shining example of what it means to love and serve others and she made a significant impact on all who knew her. Her nurturing spirit and boundless generosity touched the lives of many, and she will be remembered for her kindness, her sense of humor, and her unwavering dedication to her family. Jamie is survived by her husband, Vincent Villastrigo; daughter, Jennifer (Kasia) Karre and husband Howard; son, Daniel Villastrigo and wife Jennifer; daughter Sarah Gutierrez and husband Angel; grandchildren, Jacob Karre and wife Lauren, Kayleigh Karre, Evan, Madeline, and Layton Villastrigo, and Amira Gutierrez; brother Jim Matheny and wife Marcia; sister Jill Zibelin and husband Tom; nieces, Gay Capparelli and Bailey Zibelin; nephews, Guy Capparelli and wife Tara, Gary Capparelli, and Jimmy Zibelin and wife Audra. A funeral service will be held at St. Benedict Catholic Church on Friday, October 18th at 11:00 AM and a memorial service, also on Friday, October 18th at 2:45 PM at Ft. Sam Houston, Shelter 4.
