Janice Sue Kiolbassa went to be with the Lord on Monday, October 23, 2023, at the age of 80. She was born on February 27, 1943, in San Antonio, Texas to Charles and Lorraine Reynolds. Janice was proud of her Irish, Lithuanian, and Polish Heritage. Just under 2 years later, her father Charles Reynolds gave his life for our freedom in battle in Germany. Janice has always honored his service. Janice was raised by her mother Lorraine, and her loving Dad, stepfather Matthew Friesenhahn. Janice was the eldest of four sisters. Pamela McCammon preceded her into heaven. She is survived by sisters Carolyn Settles, and Gail Friesenhahn. When Janice was 13 years old, she met the young man that would later become the love of her life - Leroy Kiolbassa. A couple years later, at Highlands high school, they became couple, and would remain a couple for the next 65 years. Leroy and Janice made a house into a Home in Kirby and were blessed with a 56 year marriage. Janice’s legacy of Love continues with Leroy, two wonderful children Kari Stewart (husband Eric), Kevin Kiolbassa, and Granddaughter Chloe Stewart. She also survived also by many loving nieces, nephews, and godchildren. Janice spend many years working with clients in the financial services industry, along with many years on PTA and booster club organizations, proudly supporting her children and her community. Janice was the biggest fan of those she loved, from early days of dance recitals and football games, to supporting her Granddaughter Chloe in her many activities. Janice was the matriarch of the family. She loved being with people, which made her a great hostess for many holiday gatherings. If she was not hosting a gathering, she would be attending one. She loved to spend time with family and friends, playing board games, reminiscing and telling stories. Janice is a believer. She prayed everyday. She knew where she would go when she left this life, and believed that she will be with us always. Visitation will be on Sunday, October 29, 2023, at 5:00 p.m. with a rosary at 6:30 p.m. at Dellcrest Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be on Monday, October 30, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at Dellcrest Funeral Home. Interment to follow at St. Jerome's Catholic Cemetery.
