Janie P. Rodriguez went to be with the Lord on January 20, 2021, at the age of 72. She was born on February 22, 1948 in San Antonio, TX. She is preceded in death by her parents, Jose and Sara Pineda; sisters, Felicitas “Licha” Pineda Garcia and Juanita Pineda. Janie is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Ernesto I. Rodriguez; children, Ernesto P. Rodriguez Jr. (Alma), Eduardo P. Rodriguez (Dora), Eileen Rodriguez Mares and Eric Lee P. Rodriguez (Janet); siblings, Jesus Pineda, Cipriano Pineda (Ruth), Refugio Pineda (Diana) , Lucinda “Lucy” Alcocer, Gregorio Pineda (Nena), Narciso Pineda (Alexandra) and; 9 grandchildren, Eddie Rodriguez Jr. (Mariella) Noreen Rodriguez, Erik Aaron Rodriguez (Annie), Elisa Rodriguez, Ernesto Rodriguez III, Galvin Eric Rodriguez, Elizabeth Rodriguez, Rebekah Mares, and Anaztacia Rodriguez; 6 great-grandchildren, Naomi, Alexander, Adalynn, Gabriella, Abigail and Eduardo Maximus, and numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family members and friends. Janie was a humble devoted Christian woman. She praised and worshipped at Open Arms Ministries for the past 20 years. Her gentle spirit could be felt by anyone she interacted with. She established many long-lasting friendships and left a lasting impression. You often saw Janie with her loving husband, Ernest eating at their favorite restaurants such as Sea Island, La Tapatia or Mama Margie’s. She enjoyed baking cakes for family and friends and spending time in her garden. Janie was also a perfectionist when it came to her truck. She would wash and wax it anytime it got dirty, even if it meant waxing it at 2 or 3 in the morning. Her greatest passion was spending time with family and friends, especially her loving children and grandchildren. In honor and memory of Tilo’s indefinite love for her Lord and Savior, family and friends, all the people rejoicing in her name will share a lasting love for which she will sincerely be missed. Visitation will be Friday, January 29, 2021 from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. with a Funeral Service to begin at 1:00 p.m. at Mission Park Funeral Chapels South. Interment to follow at San Jose Burial Park.
