Jean Priest Fuller passed away on January 18, 2014 at the age of 90 years. Born February 20, 1923 in Rector, Arkansas to T.A. Priest and Ruby Moore Priest. Jean was one of eight children. She met and married her one and only love, Charles Fuller, on February 6, 1942. They would go on to spend the next 70 yrs. and 6 months together. Our beautiful mother was generous to a fault and never met a stranger. If you needed help she was there for you. She was active in our schools and activities as we grew up. Dance lessons, piano lessons, girl scouts, cub scouts, baseball, softball, etc. She kept us busy. Mother stayed busy at home sewing, cooking she loved new recipes, cleaning for all of us. I remember she ironed everything, even our sheets and pillow cases. She always sang and danced while doing housework. However, she kept a belt around her neck so she could swat Jimmy for any out of bounds behavior. Catching him was the problem. He ran-she chased. Never in my life did she physically discipline, Una Jean and I rarely caught her wrath. Jimmy just loved to aggravate her. That was our funny, sweet mother and we loved her so. As years passed and we kids married and had children, Mother and Daddy proceeded to "spoil rotten" every grandchild. Never was there the need to knock on their door before entering. That door was open to all - day or night. When we went there to eat, we always left carrying home food and fresh vegetables from their garden. We will all miss homemade chicken and dumplings, fried chicken, cherry pies, red velvet cake etc. Una Jean was a picky eater so she will no doubt, miss weenies and chocolate milk. Most of all we will miss the daily phone calls. They called each of us every evening to ask "Is everyone in for the night?" "Is everyone O.K.?" And always in our times of need they never failed to ask "What can we do to help?" Their presence in our lives and their love and concern for all of us cannot be measured. We were so fortunate to have them for so long. She was our Mother. She was her grandchildren's' Mama Jean. Preceded in death by husband Charles Fuller on August 13, 2013. Her parents T.A. and Ruby Priest, sisters Helen Bradham, Vernelia Patterson, JoAnn Colvin, granddaughter Cari McCallister, great grandson Landon Elledge. Survived by daughters Sue McCrory and Una McGinnis, son James Rhea Fuller, grandchildren Michelle, Sam, Kim, Kody, Melissa, Erin and Eric, great grandchildren Aubry, Bradley, Courtney, Sean, Madelynn and Taylor, great great granddaughter Harley Rhea, brothers A.G. Priest, W.T. Priest, Sister Rachel Etzel and numerous nephews and nieces.
