Jesse H. Goode, Sr. January 26, 1931 – October 8, 2018 Jesse H. Goode, Sr. born in Kingsville, Texas on January 26, 1931; went to be with the Lord on October 8, 2018 at the age of 87. He was one of 10 children born to Howard and Vera Goode. The family eventually settled in San Antonio and became longtime residents in the Harlandale school district. As true patriots, Jesse and his brothers all served their country in the Army, Air Force, Navy and Marines. Upon graduation from Harlandale high school, Jesse joined the US Marine Corps. While Stationed at Camp Pendleton CA, he met and married his true love... a hazel eyed graduate from the Bishop Johnson College of Nursing. Virginia Moyse and Jesse Goode were married in 1954, and settled in San Antonio, Texas. Over the next 64 years of marriage there was much love... raising four sons and many grandchildren. Many family stories have been shared over the years of the antics of Jesse’s youth, thus inspiring his son’s on to new escapades. The best of times were sitting together as a family and reliving all these old stories. Jesse and Virginia were dedicated Christians, and worshiped God at Harlandale Christian Church throughout their married life. They both retired in the early 90’s and spent the rest of their lives together serving family, friends, their church and their Lord. Jesse is preceded in death by his parents Howard Richard and Vera Louise Carter Goode... Brothers Richard, Howard, Douglas, Curtis, Milton and Wayne Goode... and Sisters Connie and Norma Jean Goode. Survivors include his loving wife Virginia E. Goode, sons Jesse H. Goode, Jr. and wife Doreen, Matthew D. Goode and wife Susan, Wyatt C. Goode and Travis M. Goode and wife Shannon, sister Barbara Ann Kester and husband Lavaine, sisters-in-laws Barbara, Beverly, Nancy and Linda Goode, and other loving family members and friends. Visitation will begin on Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at 8:30 a.m. with a funeral service to begin at 9:00 a.m. at Mission Park Funeral Chapels South. Interment will follow at Ft.
