Jesus Villarreal Jr., 65, of Elmendorf, TX went to be with the Lord on August 1, 2020, at Post Acute Medical Facility in New Braunfels, TX due to COVID-19. Jesus was born December 16, 1954, in San Antonio, TX to Rosaura and Jesus Villarreal Sr. He attended G.W. Brackenridge High School in San Antonio, TX, graduating in 1974 with his high school diploma. He continued his education at Texas State Institute in Waco, TX studying auto mechanics. He then started his own business, Expressway Auto Service, on South Flores street and continued his business for 41 years. His honesty, skills, and willingness to help others earned him many loyal customers and lifelong friendships. He was an avid hunter, loved the outdoors, enjoyed playing poker with his family, gardening with his wife, and spending time with his three daughters, son-in-law, and grandchildren. He will be remembered by many people for his sense of humor, his ease of making friends, and making people feel good about themselves. He liked to joke around and see who would fall for his stories. He is preceded in death by his mother, Rosaura Villarreal and his brother, Andres Villarreal. He is survived by his father: Jesus Villarreal Sr.; wife: Elsie Sanchez Villarreal; daughters: Romi Villarreal, Crystal (Robert) Flores, and Nicole “Coco” Villarreal; grandchildren: Brianna Hernandez, Marcus Hernandez, Noah Hernandez, Aralynne Hernandez, Lucian Flores, Natalie Flores, and Gabriel Flores; brothers and sisters: Rosa Villarreal, Marta Villarreal, Gloria (Gilbert) Sanchez, Alma (Natividad) Garza, Alfredo (Esther) Villarreal, Raul (Rose) Villarreal; Godchildren: Julia (Marco) Carreon, Jessica (Aurelio) Cerella, Michelle (Omar) Sanchez, Amanda (Jerell) Elefano, Kara (Greg) Vernor, Renavin Santana, and Brenda Sanchez Carrillo; and numerous nieces and nephews. Due to the COVID pandemic, the family will hold a private ceremony. Please respect the families wishes and practice social distancing. A celebration of life will be held for family and friends at a later date. An outdoor screen at Mission Park South parking lot be available for rosary.
