JoAnn P. Miller of San Antonio, Texas passed away in her home February 12, 2015 to be with her Lord & Savior, Jesus Christ. JoAnn was born in San Antonio to Elmer & Alvina Parsons on January 29, 1934. She went to high school at South San High School and graduated in 1951. She married the love of her life, Eugene Miller, December 28, 1952. They then began raising their family of eight children. Widowed in 1974, JoAnn raised her children on her own until all graduated high school. She then went on to work for Ross Stores for 25 years. She spent her free time reading, doing word search puzzles, traveling, sewing, dotting on & spoiling her grandkids, loved watching Law & Order & Jeopardy and enjoyed spending time with her family. She was a member of St. Mary Magdalene's Catholic Church since 1954. JoAnn is preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Miller; parents, Elmer H. & Alvina Kosharek Parsons; brothers, Elmer H. Parsons, Jr. & Anthony Parsons and sister, Edith M. Pohlen; daughter, Kathleen Mary Cozart and son, Charles Jeffrey Miller; grandchildren, James Wesley Cozart, Creston Kiel Blanchard & Meghan Jane Overton. JoAnn is survived by her brother, Paul Thomas Parsons; Children: David Wayne Miller, William Eugene Miller & wife, Tina, Michael Edward Miller, Suzanne Marie Roberts & husband, John Roberts, Diane Frances Blanchard and James Robert Miller & wife, Jeannie Louise. Grandsons: David E. Miller, Troy Miller, Duane Miller, Robert D. Miller, Stephen D. Miller, Wade A. Roberts, Connor Miller, Justin Miller. Granddaughters: Michelle J. Smith, Melissa J. Escamilla, Danielle R. McNutt, Kelly Lee, Pamela D. Wright, Denise M. Garcia, Jessica L. Smith, Brianna R. Apostolow, Katy Miller, Emma Miller. Great-Grandsons: Corey, Dayton, Cameron, Devin, Bryson, Mateo, Asa, Weston, Greyson; Great Grandaughters; Alexandria, Ashley, Brooke, Audrey, Haylee, Daisy, Savannah, Kirsten and one Great Great Grandson, Jason Creston Johnson Funeral service will be held at Mission Park North, 3401 Cherry Ridge, San Antonio, TX 78230 on Friday, February 20, 2015 at 9:00 am with Deacon Pedro Patlan officiating. Interment to follow at San Fernando Cemetery #3. Reception to follow.
