Joe M Galo Jr. 7-17-1951 -7-29-2016 is now free from pain and suffering, taken way too soon. He has joined our lord and his parents, Joe and Clara Gallo. Joe was a strong, hard working father who created a rich life. He survived by his wife Alma Avila Galo, daughter Erika Galo, her Fiancé Wesley Drew, stepson Zachary Avila, wife Robin, children Jasper and Sophia, siblings; Clara Hollingsworth and Michael Gallo, father in-law Rogelio Avila, brother in-laws; Norman Avila, Brandon Avila, and Herb Gray, sister in-laws; Belinda Cheaney, Carla Avila-Gray, Simoné Avila, nieces; Lauren and Cecily Cheaney, nephews; Austin, Devan, and Elijah Gray, Donovan Avila, Chad Hollingsworth and Milton Zaiontz III. Joe and Alma have worked side by side for 32 years at Imperial North where his love for jewelry evolved, they were truly meant to be for they had the same dreams and ambitions. His relationship with his daughter was unique, he loved her so much and they truly were best friends, they talked daily, joked daily, and everyone knew how close they were. All he wanted to do was see her grow up, be successful, and get married. His dream was to walk his little girl down the aisle, and will now be there in spirit and heart. People always asked about him when he was away, he could truly make a friend out of anyone, bonding with people over anything like his love for the San Antonio Spurs, Elvis Presley, and Food just to name a few. Always cracking jokes and no matter where he was, could light up the room with his smile and laughter. He was a great cook, handy man, and the best salesman. More of his hobbies included fishing, BBQ'ing, playing poker, and gardening. Born and raised in San Antonio, Texas, and attending Thomas Jefferson High School. In his younger days he managed Doyle's, loved socializing with law enforcements, and creating memories playing Texas Hold Em' with Tim Duncan and some of San Antonio's best men, with his infamous poker name Crazy Joe Galo, yet far from the nickname. Everyone remembers Joe Galo for he was a great man, father, and loving husband. Joe Galo we miss you so much and will think of you every second of the day. Rest in Peace.
