Joe Albert Garcia, 53, of San Antonio, Texas, passed away peacefully on July 11, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family. Born on March 12, 1973, Joe lived a life defined by determination, resilience, laughter, and unconditional love. Joe's roots were firmly planted at the JNB Ranch, a place he proudly called home and where he built countless memories with family and friends. It was there that he embraced life's simple joys and developed the values of hard work, loyalty, and perseverance that would guide him throughout his life. One of Joe's greatest accomplishments was fulfilling his lifelong dream of becoming a DJ. Music was more than a passion—it was a way for him to bring people together, create lasting memories, and share his infectious energy with everyone around him. Whether behind the laptop or surrounded by loved ones, Joe had a remarkable ability to make people smile & laugh. Although Joe faced physical limitations throughout his life, he never allowed them to define who he was or what he could achieve. Instead, he chose to live each day with courage, optimism, and an unbreakable spirit. He was a passionate advocate for individuals with disabilities, using his voice to inspire others and champion inclusion and understanding. Joe's strength, determination, and fearless spirit made him a true force to be reckoned with. He showed everyone who knew him that life's greatest limitations are only those we place upon ourselves. Joe is lovingly survived by his wife, Belinda Cervantes; his daughter, Nicole Lopez (Russell Lopez); his mother, Maria A. Garcia; his brother, David Garcia Jr.; his sisters, Leticia Toole (Brian Toole) and Susan Garcia Godina; along with numerous beloved nephews, nieces, godchildren, extended family members, and many dear friends whose lives were forever touched by his kindness and generous heart. Joe will be remembered for his warm smile, his quick sense of humor, his love of music, his unwavering determination, and the compassion he showed to everyone he met. His legacy of strength, perseverance, and unconditional love will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know him. Though our hearts are heavy with sorrow, we find comfort in knowing that Joe's love, laughter, and remarkable spirit will remain with us always. Services A Visitation for Joe will be held on Sunday, July 19, 2026 from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM at Mission Park Funeral Chapels South 1700 SE Military Dr. 78214 with a Rosary to be recited at 6:00 PM. On Monday, July 20, 2026 Doors will open at 8:30am for family & friends, all Pallbearers will meet at Mission Park Funeral Chapels South no later than 9am. A Mass of Resurrection will be held at 11:00 AM at St. Leonard’s Catholic Church with interment to follow at San Jose Burial Park. The Garcia & Cervantes family extends their heartfelt gratitude to all who have offered prayers, love, and support during this difficult time.
