With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Johnnie Manuel Cedillo Sr., a devoted husband, loving father, cherished uncle, and proud grandfather who was loved beyond words. He entered eternal rest on December 19, 2025, in San Antonio, Texas at the age of 56. Johnnie was born on November 17, 1969, in Alamogordo, New Mexico. He was preceded in death by his father, Lonnie P. Cedillo. Johnnie is remembered by his wife, Alicia C. Cedillo; his mother, Manuela Garcia Moya Cedillo; his children, Johnnie M. Cedillo Jr., Joshua Cedillo (Tatiana), Julian and daughter-in-law Ashley Cedillo; his twelve grandchildren Destiny, Jeremiah, Isaiah, Ezmi, Juhlyis, Zeke, Bella, RJ, Joshua Cody, J.J., Jasmine, and Jordan; his siblings: Lonnie Jr. (Virginia), Tony, Linda (Anthony), Ada (Mike), Maria (Martin), and Gabriel (Vicky); special friends: Andrea De La Cruz, Alyssa Conde, the Moreno Family, and numerous relatives and friends. Above all else, Johnnie deeply and unconditionally loved Alicia, his beloved wife of 38 years. Their marriage was a true partnership built on faith, trust, and unwavering devotion. For many years, they worked side by side, supporting one another through life’s challenges and triumphs. They were not only husband and wife, but best friends. Their love endured hardship, overcame countless obstacles, and grew stronger with time—an unbreakable bond that will continue to transcend time and space. A man of strong faith, Johnnie began each day alongside his beloved wife in prayer and scripture, grounding their life together in devotion to God. His faith guided every part of who he was and how he lived, offering comfort, strength, and reassurance to all who knew him. Johnnie was a man of many talents. There was little he could not fix or accomplish, and he took great pride in his abilities. Even more meaningful to him was sharing his knowledge with his sons. He cherished the years spent working alongside them—watching them grow, learn, and develop their own skills. Those moments were among his greatest joys. He loved and supported his sons and their families with his whole heart, taking immense pride in their lives and especially in his grandchildren, who brought him endless happiness. Family meant everything to him. He was a devoted son who lovingly cared for his mother and a loyal brother who deeply cherished his siblings. Johnnie’s sudden passing has left an immeasurable void in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. He was a steady lifeline to so many, always present, always giving, and always placing others before himself. While our grief is profound, we find comfort in knowing his legacy lives on through the countless lives he touched with his kindness, wisdom, strong work ethic, and unwavering love. We take solace in our faith, trusting that he has entered the gates of heaven, free from pain, and that one day we will be reunited. Though he is no longer with us physically, we believe Johnnie continues to watch over his family—guiding them, protecting them, and celebrating every milestone yet to come. His warm smile, gentle spirit, and loving presence will never be forgotten and will remain forever in the hearts of those lives he touched. Visitation will be held on Friday, January 16, 2026, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., with a Celebration of Life beginning at 6 p.m. at Alamo Funeral Chapels, 624 N. Alamo St., San Antonio, Texas 78215.
