Johnny Moore IV, was called home to our Lord on June 12, 2016 at the age of 49. A native of San Antonio, TX, he was born to Mary C. Moore and Johnny Moore III on June 25, 1966. He is preceded in death by his father, Johnny Moore III and his father-in-law Calletano Segundo. Johnny Moore IV is survived by his spouse Irene Moore, son Johnny Moore V Angela, daughters Trisha and Jasmaine Moore, grandson Jaydn Moore, mother Mary Carrasco Moore, brothers Jimmy Christina Moore, Lynel Elissa Moore, sister Michelle Gabriel Guerra and numerous nieces and nephews. Johnny was a graduate of South San Antonio 1984 and was an all-around athlete. It was there he met his loving wife of 30 years, Irene Segundo Moore. Together they raised three beautiful children, Johnny Moore V and twin daughters Trisha and Jasmaine Moore. Johnny was an employee of the Social Security Administration for over 27 years. He began his career in San Antonio but eventually landed in the small town of Pampa, Texas. In Pampa, Johnny and his family were avid parishioners of St. Vincent De Paul where he made lifelong friends. His successful career with Social Security enabled him to return to San Antonio where he and his family were parishioners of St. Joseph South San. To state Johnny was a huge Spurs fan would be an understatement. Returning to San Antonio, allowed the Moore family ample opportunities to attend Spurs games. In doing so, they were able to take part of the elite experience of watching the Spurs win their 2014 championship. He was a diehard Spurs fan. One of his many sayings would be…"Don't they know how they affect the city when they lose?" Johnny wore many hats. He was a loving husband to his wife. To his children, he was there mentor, coach, running partner. For his grandson, he was his "Papa". To his co-workers, he was their "go to guy". Johnny had an infectious smile and his presence would light up the room. Everywhere he went he would make a friend. They say some men are one in a million….but Johnny was truly one in a billion! Our dearest husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, son-in-law, brother-in-law, co-worker and friend will truly be missed. Services are as follows: Visitation will begin at 5 pm followed by a rosary at 7 pm on Monday, June 20, 2016 at Mission Park SE. Procession will depart at 9:30 am on Tuesday, June 21, 2016 for a 10 am mass at St. Joseph South San Catholic Church. Interment immediately following at Leal Cemetery, Leal TX.
