Joesph Daniel Dixon (Joe) was called home to be with the Lord at the age of 88. He had a full and purposeful life during the “dash”, as he called it, between his birth on August 2, 1936 and his passing on May 15, 2025. Although we are all deeply sad about not having him here with us any longer, we also celebrate his life and legacy. He based his life on his strong faith and commitment to God and God’s purposes, which was evidenced by his dedication and love for his family and many others. He was a devoted husband to his wife Nolly, as together they raised five children. Nolly and his son Danny went ahead of Joe to be with the Lord. After Nolly’s passing, God blessed Joe with a wonderful new wife, Andi, who he dearly loved and cherished for the last 25 years of his journey on this earth. Together they continued nurturing and loving their families and others. Joe had many achievements in his life because he used his God given intelligence, skills and strong work ethic to its fullest. Diligence and conscientiousness was the hallmark of his endeavors. He had a successful military career in the U.S. Air Force, retiring as a Staff Sergeant before he started an accomplished career at Santa Rosa Medical center where he retired as Assistant Administrator having been key in developing automation of hospital systems. From there Joe founded CASA Physicians Alliance, a very thriving, prosperous business which he and Andi grew into a legacy for the family. Anyone who knew him also knows how he loved to play golf and was quite good at it. He golfed up until just two months before his passing. But above all, those who knew him would say that his greatest achievements were how he served God by passionately taking care of his family, friends, neighbors, church and even strangers. Joe was extraordinarily generous with his time and resources. He had a compassionate heart for those in need. He also had a passion to share the message of the gospel through his work for ACTS retreats, his creation and distribution of spiritual guidance literature for the church, and his leading of his family in prayer and worship. Joe had a prayer notebook with the names of all his family and many others and he prayed daily for everyone on that list. This is his legacy, loving the Lord his God with all his heart, soul, mind and strength, and loving his neighbor as himself. Joseph Daniel Dixon is survived by his loving wife Helen Andrea Dixon; his children Pamela Domiano and her husband Jack, Chris Dixon and his wife Nicole, Shari Smith, Clinton Dixon, Daniel Dixon (deceased) and his wife Laurel Dixon, and step daughter Kimberlee Webb and her husband Randy, brother John Dixon and sister Jane Hand and her husband George. He is also survived by his grandchildren Jacob, Joanna, Joy, Sarah, Michael, Matthew, Cheyenne, Cody, Aaron, Michele, Greg, Bailey, Georgia, Elena and Tanya; and, by his 25 great grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 8, 2025 from 2:00pm-4:00pm at Mission Park Funeral Chapels North on Cherry Ridge. The Rosary will be on Monday, June 9, 2025 at 9:30am, followed by a 10:00am Funeral Mass at St. Matthew's Catholic Church, 10703 Wurzbach Rd., San Antonio, Texas 78230. Interment will follow at Mission Burial Park North.
