Tributes

A loving husband, father, grandfather and friend, Joseph Walter DuBowik Jr. went to be with the Lord on October 19, 2022, at the age of 75, in Somerset, TX. He was born on September 17, 1947 in Lowell Massachusetts. He lived in Massachusetts until 1978 when he and his family moved to San Antonio. He is preceded in death by his Grandparents, Harold and Leola DeWolfe who raised him, and his parents Joseph and Vera DuBowik; brothers, Robert Asselin and John Jaroma. Joseph is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Jean Ann DuBowik; children, Jimi DuBowik, Duane David DuBowik, Sr. (Kelly), Dean DuBowik (Aimee), Dale DuBowik, Randy Randle (Tara), James William (Will) Randle, Sr. and Keeley Randle. Grandchildren: Jimi Dubowik, Jr. Drake and Allie DuBowik, Lacey Rodriguez (Devin), D. David DuBowik Jr., Connie, Joe and Sophia DuBowik, Damian DuBowik (Angela), and Nicholas Rabago. Connor and Bowen Randle, James William Randle Jr., Alexxander Randle, and Anthony Martinez and numerous great grandchildren. Joe was a body man which is repairing auto bodies and painting them. He worked for different dealership body shops in both Massachusetts and San Antonio and then opened Colonial Auto Body and then later after marrying Jean Ann, he opened another body shop in Lytle called Bodyworks USA. Joe always liked doing different things. On weekends, we opened a snack bar at a flea market next to Bussey’s flea market. We met some friends there and they suggested we come to work for the storage company they worked for. We worked for 10 years managing storage facilities. Our next adventure was looking for RV parks to purchase and operate. We owned 3 RV parks for about 12 years. We enjoyed working together. He liked to kid with people and make them smile. He used to say “If I can make one person smile each day, it will make my day.” Joe loved the cars; the oldies, muscle cars and the new ones. We enjoyed going to the car shows, swap meets and flea markets. When we weren’t able to go to the car shows and swap meets anymore, he loved to watch the car programs on TV. He liked to see how he would design a custom paint job on some of the newer cars. He liked to look for cars and rv’s to repair and sell. He always said he would never “officially” retire. We will all miss him very much. Visitation will be on Thursday, October 27, 2022 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Mission Park Funeral Chapels South. Graveside Service will be on Friday, October 28, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at Mission Burial Park South.
