With overflowing love and profound sorrow, we announce the passing of our precious mother and grandmother, Justina Oviedo, whose gentle spirit and boundless heart shaped our lives in ways words can barely hold. She left this world at the age of 90, wrapped in the love of the family she devoted her life to. She was the kind of mother who made every place feel like home. Her voice could calm any storm, her embrace could mend any pain, and her steady, patient, unconditional love was the foundation on which our family was built. She taught us kindness not through words, but through the way she lived — always giving, always caring, always putting others before herself. As a grandmother, she was pure tenderness. Her grandchildren adored her, and she adored them right back. She had a magical way of making each child feel cherished, with her warm hugs, her gentle laughter, and the way she listened as if every story they told was the most important one in the world. Her love for them was limitless, and they will carry that love for the rest of their lives. She is survived by her daughters Bertha Garcia, Arcilia Perez, Beatrice Rojas, and Christina Oviedo, and by her son Armondo Reyes, and Sister Janie Garza, along with several grandchildren, great‑grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren who will forever be guided by her wisdom, her compassion, and the quiet strength she showed every day. She was preceded in death by Antonio Oviedo, Antonio Oviedo Jr and Lorenzo Oviedo. Her legacy is one of love — the kind of love that doesn’t fade, doesn’t weaken, and doesn’t end. She leaves behind a family shaped by her tenderness, her sacrifices, and her unwavering devotion. Though our hearts are heavy, we find comfort in knowing that her love remains with us — in our memories, in our stories, in the way we love one another, just as she taught us. ✦ Service Details A loving celebration of our beautiful mother Justina Oviedo’s life will be held on Wednesday, June 3rd at Palm Heights Mortuary, 3711 S. Zarzamora. Open visitation for the public will take place from 4:00–8:00 PM. All who knew and loved her are invited to gather, share memories, and honor the extraordinary mother, grandmother and great grandmother who blessed our lives. ✦ Burial Information On Thursday, June 4th, services will continue at Palm Heights Mortuary from 10:00–11:00 AM, after which we will proceed to San Lorenzo Cemetery, 10535 Stuart Rd, for her burial and final resting place.
