Juventino Lopez entered eternal rest on June 10, 2023, at the age of 86. He was born on November 3, 1936, in Bruni, Texas to Jose and Manuela (Tellez) Lopez. Mr. Lopez served his Country in the US Air Force and retired after 20 years of Honorable Service as an Aircraft Mechanic. Preceded in his death by his beloved parents, beloved brother Eusbio Lopez, and beloved sister Eduvina Hinojosa. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Teodora Lopez and beloved son, Juventino Lopez, Jr. Juventino is survived by his children: Andrew Lopez, Corina Gonzales, and Tina Lopez (Martin); grandchildren: Augustine Gonzales IV (Amanda) and Gabrielle Teodora Gonzales; great-grandchildren: Allyson McKenzie, Evelyn Aubrey, and Charlotte Eleanor; brother, Joe Lopez (Martha) and numerous nieces and nephews and other loving family and friends. Juventino, a native of Bruni, Texas, grew up in the world with a loyal companion by his side—a faithful dog named Frijolito. At the age of 17, he embarked on a remarkable journey by enlisting in the US Air Force. With a courageous spirit, he dedicated 20 years of his life to serving his country, bravely enduring deployments to both the Korean and Vietnam Wars. Throughout his military career, Juventino employed his expertise as an aircraft mechanic. During his eventful youth, Juventino married his soulmate, whom he met at the age of 17. Their love blossomed, culminating in a joyous marriage in July of 1958. Assigned to active duty in Laredo, Texas, he served there for a period, all the while welcoming the arrival of three beautiful children. Later, he received orders to relocate to Abilene, Texas, where the family welcomed another precious addition. Establishing a home in San Antonio, Texas, it became a comforting haven for his loved ones whenever he was called to fight in the Korean and Vietnam Wars. Whenever stationed within the United States, Juventino would ensure his family joined him on these military assignments, cherishing precious moments together. Throughout his career, he was stationed in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, and Clovis, New Mexico. In 1975 he retired, and the family returned to San Antonio, Texas. The Hercules aircraft held a special place in Juventino's heart, as it became his favorite among the skies. His spirit thrived in the great outdoors, where he found solace in deer and hog hunting, as well as fishing. Following his military service, Juventino and his wife embarked on a new chapter as entrepreneurs. Their journey of running a restaurant, with his wife displaying her culinary passion in the kitchen, while he adeptly managed the C & T Wash o Rama. The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to Mark Cruz for his unwavering support and care provided for their beloved father. They are also immensely grateful to the dear friends who stood by Juventino during his times of need, offering invaluable assistance and friendship. Juventino's legacy will forever be remembered as a courageous Air Force veteran, a devoted husband, a loving father, and a man of adventure. His memory will live on through the indelible mark he left on the hearts of all those who had the privilege of knowing him.
