MARLOW Kayla Christian Marlow left this world to be with the Lord on March 15, 2013 in San Antonio, Texas. She was born on November 11, 1989 in Ft. Bragg, North Carolina to Ken Marlow and Joy Breutsch Curbow. She was preceded in death by her Aunt Valerie Pickering. Kayla is survived by her parents, Ken and Leti Marlow and Joy and Henry Curbow; her baby daughter, Madaleine Freeman; son, Jack Marais; sisters, Nicole and Ashley Marlow, Brittany Graap and Lindsay Curbow-Salinas; grandparents, Carl and Lynn Marlow, Ursula Barnette "Oma", Lawrence and Janice Kolbert and Carrie; great grandmother, Claira Weinerman; uncles and aunts, Jeff and Susan Marlow, Chris and Michelle Marlow, Angel Potter & Cheryl Trevino; nieces, Alezae, Izabella & Paige; nephews, Aiden, Zachary & Lorenzo; and numerous cousins and great aunts and uncles. Kayla was very special and dear to our hearts, and she was taken from us way too soon. She loved life and was very proud of being a parent. She loved her babies more than anything in this world. Her Facebook page stated she wanted to be "the best ever at being a great mommy". If the happiness and joy that is seen in her children's eyes is any indication, then she was well on her way. She always did the very best to make sure her children were never in need by always putting them first. As a child, she was carefree and happy-go-lucky. Being the youngest of four children, she looked up to her sisters and wanted to emulate them, but along with that came the normal teasing. Kayla would give as good as she got, but she always loved her sisters. She would eventually break away from her sisters' shadows and blossom into a beautiful young woman. Kayla had a great sense of humor and a gorgeous smile. You always knew when Kayla entered the room. She was opinionated and headstrong, but gentle and kind at the same time. That was the beauty and uniqueness of Kayla. Recently, Kayla started talking about goals and began the process of returning to college. She knew she wanted to do more with her life and for her family. Like most young people, she was uncertain of her major but had mentioned a possible career in teaching. She said she liked the idea of having spring break and summers off. Of course, that was just Kayla being Kayla. Her family and friends will miss Kayla dearly, and until we see her again there will be a void in our hearts that can only be filled by her warm embrace. Rest in peace my baby girl…Love, Daddy WHEN TOMORROW STARTS WITHOUT ME When tomorrow starts without me, and I'm not there to see; If the sun should rise and find your eyes all filled with tears for me; I wish so much you wouldn't cry the way you did today, while thinking of the many things we didn't get to say. I know how much you love me, as much as I love you, and each time you think of me I know you'll miss me too; But when tomorrow starts without me, please try to understand, that an angel came and called my name and took me by the hand, and said my place was ready in heaven far above, and that I'd have to leave behind all those I dearly love. But as I turned to walk away, a tear fell from my eye, for all life, I'd always thought I didn't want to die. I had so much to live for and so much yet to do, it seemed almost impossible that I was leaving you. I thought of all the yesterdays, the good ones and the bad, I thought of all the love we shared and all the fun we had. If I could relive yesterday, I thought, just for a while, I'd say goodbye and kiss you and maybe see you smile. But then I fully realized that this could never be, for emptiness and memories would take the place of me. And when I thought of worldly things that I'd miss come tomorrow, I thought of you, and when I did, my heart was filled with sorrow. But when I walked through heaven's gates, I felt so much at home. When God looked down and smiled at me, from His great golden throne, He said, "This is eternity and all I've promised you". Today for life on earth is past but here it starts anew. I promise no tomorrow, but today will always last, and since each day's the same day, there's no longing for the past. But you have been so faithful, so trusting, and so true. Though there were times you did some things you knew you shouldn't do. But you have been forgiven and now at last you're free. So won't you take my hand and share my life with me? So when tomorrow starts without me, don't think we're far apart, for every time you think of me, I'm right here in your heart. SERVICES Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 21, 2013 from 6:00pm until 9:00pm at Mission Park Funeral Chapels North. Funeral Services will be on Friday, March 22, 2013 at 11:00am at Whitsett Baptist Church in Whitsett, Texas. Directly afterwards, there will be a reception at the Jourdanton Baptist Church in Jourdanton, Texas. Pallbearers will be Jeff Marlow, Chris Marlow, Joseph Kolbert, Scott Awe, Michael Czarnecki and William Czarnecki. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mothers Against Drunk Drivers MADD and/or the San Antonio Humane Society.
