Kelly Annas Smith was born March 19, 1956 in Marion Indiana and went home to be with her Lord on February 19, 2012. Kelly graduated from Mississenewa High School in Gas City, Indiana. Kelly married her high school sweetheart Victor Smith and they graduated from Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana. Kelly and Victor moved to Corpus Christi, Texas in 1980, where Kelly taught Math and Computer Science at Gregory-Portland High School for 15 years and had four wonderful children Erica, Ginger, Jordan and Cory. In 1995, the Smith family moved from Corpus Christi to San Antonio, Texas. Kelly began teaching Math at Taft High School in Northside ISD, but soon moved to the Technology Services Department of Northside ISD. Kelly held several positions in the department, with her final position being the Assistant Superintendent of Technology Services for Northside ISD. While living in San Antonio Kelly graduated from UTSA with her Masters Degree and also took several Doctoral Classes and passed the tests to receive her Texas School Administrators Certification and her Texas School Superintendents Certification. She is preceded in death by her brother, Mark Turner; maternal grand parents, George and Mary Gould and paternal grand parents, Lawrence and Edna Turner. Kelly is survived by her husband of 35 years Victor Smith, her four Children; Erica Huke, Ginger Smith, Jordan Smith and Cory Smith; granddaughter, Ariana Hawethorne; brother, Scott Carla Turner of Westfield, Indiana; parents, mother-Dr. Geraldine Turner of San Antonio, father-Charles Eugene Turner of Jonesboro, Indiana, and numerous aunts and uncles. S E R V I C E S A visitation will be held at Mission Park North Funeral Chapels North, 3401 Cherry Ridge Dr. from 5:00 - 8:00 PM on Friday, February 24, 2012. A chapel service will be held at Mission Park Funeral Chapels North on Saturday, February 25, 2012 at 12:00 PM with interment to follow at Mission Burial Park North, 20900 IH 10 West.
