B O R G Laura Jan Borg born August 10, 1957 in Prichard, Alabama passed away unexpectedly on January 11, 2010. She is joining her beloved mother who preceded her to heaven on November 17th , 2009. Jan is survived by her beloved husband Randy of 33 years and her precious pups, Gizmo and Kiwi, her dearest father Ezra "Jake" Jacobson, her sister Virginia Stevens and her husband Jim, her brother Daniel Jacobson and his wife Roberta, her nieces Callie Heaton and her husband John, Jordan Jacobson, Kirsten Jacobson, her nephew Daniel Stevens, her cousins David Brown and his wife Nancy, Eric Streed and his wife Linda and Cyrus Brown and his wife Skye. Jan was a bright, generous and loving spirit who was always there for those in need and in celebration. She was a devoted daughter who spent many hours caring for her mother who had suffered from Alzheimer's and her father who was mom's primary care taker. She was a loving, devoted and giving sister and aunt. Jan was a closet caterer and chef. She loved to put together huge spreads of delicious homemade food, fruit and veggie trays and baked mouthwatering cookies. Her food brought joy and warmth to all which only came second to her sunshine smile and her jovial laugh. Jan loved to spend time with her family, lounge by the Frio River with her camping family up at Concan, TX, laugh, play card games, dice and any other game available; but her sweet smile was deceiving because she played to win. Loosing wasn't her strong suit but she always had a good time and was ready to play again. She loved romance novels, music, sparkly things, the Dallas Cowboys and the beach and Disneyworld brought her great joy. All who knew her were blessed with a gracious, true and dependable friend. She always gave more than what she ever asked for and was grateful for all the blessings that life had provided her. Our hearts are broken and our lives will always have a void without our dear, sweet Jan but we know that the Lord has her in His loving arms as her dearest mother guides her home. Jan will be forever in our hearts. SERVICES A visitation will be held from 5:00 - 8:00 PM on Thursday, January 14, 2010 at Mission Park Funeral Chapels North. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM on Friday, January 15, 2010 at Mission Park Funeral Chapels North.
