Lazaro (Larry) Martinez Fonseca went to be with the Lord on May 25, 2022, at the age of 67. He was born on August 22, 1954 in San Antonio, TX. He is preceded in death by his mother, Rachel Arispe. Lazaro is survived by his children, Nancy De La Rosa (Oscar), Lazaro Fonseca (Sylvia), Misty Perez, Candie Moreno (Raul) and Felicia Scheuermann; 14 grandchildren, Zachery De La Rosa, Zander De La Rosa, Zerek De La Rosa, Zoe De La Rosa, Odey Fonseca, Laura Fonseca, Sophia Fonseca, Lazaro Fonseca, Gabriella Castro, Haley Perez, Nathaniel Moreno, Xavier Almanza, Antonio Almanza and Isabel Lara; 1 great-granddaughter, Emery Martinez; sisters, Leticia Macha (Juan), Deborah Buckner (Paul), Barbara Arocha (Robert) and Jacqueline Rocco (Tony); numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Larry will be fondly remembered by family and friends as a loving father, grandfather, and all-around great guy. He cherished the times he had with his grandchildren. He made it to softball, baseball and football games, karate, graduations, and school events. Larry always made an effort to spend quality time with his children. He will best be remembered by his nieces and nephews as being the funny uncle. I don’t think he knew how funny he was…it just came naturally. Larry always made it a point to visit with his cousins. He had so many friends that he loved and that loved him. He lived to put a smile on everyone’s face, always the life of the party. He always wanted to bring everyone together and never sweated the small stuff. Larry was a hard worker, but as hard as he worked, he also played just as hard. He enjoyed listening to music, drinking a beer or two, and dancing the night away. We will always remember your dance moves, always the best on the dance floor. Most of all, Larry cherished the times he had with his children, grandchildren, friends and loved ones. You will be missed, but never ever forgotten. But as God calls us one by one the chain will link again. It’s your time to dance in the sky! Visitation will be Wednesday, June 1, 2022, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. with a Rosary to be recited at 6:00 p.m. at Dellcrest Funeral Home located at 2023 S WW White Rd, San Antonio, TX. Funeral Service will be on Thursday, June 2, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at Dellcrest Funeral Home. Interment to follow at Mission Burial Park South.
