Leoniece Stewart Keller has taken her journey home to be with the Lord on January 11, 2015. Leoniece was born on January 2, 1932 in Bar Harbor, Maine and has enjoyed 83 wonderful years – 78 of those in Texas. Leoniece retired from the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company where she made lifelong friends. She was also an active bowler in the Slo Poke's Friday night league for many years. As lifelong members of the Catholic church, Leoniece and Carol were married in 1955 at St. Cecilia's and they raised their family as members of Holy Name Catholic Church and St. Jerome's Catholic Church. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 51 years Carol B. Keller, Mother Blanche Manchester Stewart and Father Claude Stewart, Sr., her two brothers: Claude Stewart, Jr. and Richard Stewart and grandson Gary Scott Mahula. Survivors include her three loving children: Daughter- Claudia Keller Mair, son-in-law Hugh Mair, granddaughter Teresa Tess Mair, and grandson Hugh Stu Mair. Also, her Daughter- Julie Mahula, son-in-law Terry Mahula, grandson Brandon Mahula, his wife Jessica and their two children her great grandchildren Jayden and Paisley Mahula, granddaughter Jennifer Mahula; son Steven Keller, daughter-in-law Rachelle Keller, granddaughter Hannah Keller, and grandson Christian Keller. Always special in Leoniece's life were nieces Sheila Welch, Denise Johnson, Teresa Powell and nephews Jerry Keller, Barry Keller, Pat McGee, Mike McGee, Terry McGee & John McGee. She will be missed by countless other loving family members, friends and neighbors. Please join the family to celebrate Leoniece's life on January 15, 2015 at 10:00 AM at Holy Name Catholic Church, 3814 Nash Blvd San Antonio, TX 78223. Lifelong friend, Msgr. Larry Stuebben will be celebrating the mass. The graveside service will be immediately following the mass at Mission Park South.
