Leticia G. Marmolejo age 88 of San Antonio passed through the door of Heaven on Saturday, February 20, 2016. She was born June 17, 1927 in San Antonio to Augustin and Aurora Torres Gonzalez, who preceded her in death. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandson, Dr. Raymond Ibañez, Jr. and her brother, Hector Gonzalez. She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Dr. Ramiro Marmolejo, Sr.; children, Diana Marmolejo and her life partner, Everette Wilkins, Magdalen Ibañez and her husband, Raymond, Sr., JoAnna Wilson and husband Joe Stephen and Ramiro Marmolejo, Jr. and wife, Denise; grandchildren, Timothy Reyes and wife, Maribel, Dr. Lauren Ibañez-Billings and husband, Andrew, Nicholas X. Ibanez, Vincent Stephen Wilson and wife, Marisol, Jacob N. Marmolejo and Cassaundra J. Marmolejo; great grandchildren, Serena, Sierra and Alexi Reyes, Ava Billings, and the impending birth of Caleb Wilson; sister, Yolanda Vale; numerous nieces and nephews. Leticia will be greatly missed by all who knew her. There are many words her loved ones used to describe her. However, none come close to painting a complete picture, except maybe incredible. That's because she exemplified all the positive characteristics we strive to embody. Leticia truly enjoyed life and lived it with gratitude. She was quick witted, appreciated a good joke, loved dancing, treasured time with family and loved ones and was not concerned with material possessions. She was happy with the simple things in life. She always made herself available to cheer us up and point out the positives in every situation, and all her greetings came with a beautiful smile, sparkling eyes, and a kind touch that would brighten even your worst day. We have lost a truly bright light in our lives, but we know her spirit lives on and we will soon see her again! SERVICES Visitation will be on Monday, February 29, 2016 from 6:00 P.M. to 8:30 P.M. with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 P.M. at Mission Park Funeral Chapels North, 3401 Cherry Ridge Drive. The Funeral Mass will be on Tuesday, March 1, 2016 at 11:50 A.M. at St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church, 600 Dewhurst. Interment will follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
