Linda Maldonado Kuppers went to be with the Lord on January 12, 2022, at the age of 78. She was born on January 25, 1943, in San Antonio, TX. She is preceded in death by her parents, William and Hazel Maldonado, brothers William Maldonado Jr., and Alvin Maldonado. Linda is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Harold G. Kuppers Sr., children Harold G. Kuppers Jr., Michael Kuppers (Jeannette), Karen Kuppers-Alvizo, Kristine Kuppers-Flores; six grandchildren, Andrew Kuppers, Emily Kuppers, Brandin Alvizo, Denise Cruz (Derek), David Vasquez, Danielle Vasquez, great-grandson Mason Cruz, and extended family, and many friends. Linda graduated from Robert E. Lee High School in 1961. She attended business school and then worked as a clerk in the Deed Records Department for Bexar County, where she met her husband. After starting a family, Linda took time off to be a stay-at-home mom. She was very active in her children's activities and a devoted volunteer parent with CYO, PTA, and Highlands High School Band Boosters. In her spare time, she loved to craft and could create beautiful objects out of anything. After her children grew up, she decided to use her creative talents and re-entered the workforce. She worked for Joske's department store in their visual department until Joske's closed its doors. She then went to work for Trinity University in their catering department, where she found her niche. She also worked part-time gigs with Bill Millers Catering, Fresh Horizons Catering and catered many events "Just for Friends" with her good friend Genny Kraus. After retiring from the catering business, she actively involved herself in her grandchildren's activities which she enjoyed immensely. She also regularly volunteered at the Crestholme Presbyterian Church food pantry until her health began to fail. Her proudest moment was when she was featured on an episode of the TV show What Would You Do? Hosted by John Quinones, where she was caught on camera offering assistance to a veteran who could not pay for his groceries at a local LaFiesta grocery store. Linda will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. A memorial service will be held Sunday, January 23, 2022, at 1pm at Mission Park Funeral Chapels South, 1700 SE Military Dr, San Antonio, TX, with a reception to follow at the Mission Park South Reception Hall.
