Lucia Robles Guerra finished the race and went to be with her Lord and Savior on June 20, 2023. Lucia was born in San Antonio, Texas on November 7, 1919 to Librado Robles and Virginia Robles. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Manuel M. Guerra and is blessed to have been survived by all of her children: Manuel (Rosalinda); Margie Holliday (Eugene-deceased), Rudy (Carmen); Lucy Taylor (David); Mario (Lillie); and Joe (Maribel). She was also blessed with numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. “Mom”/”Grandma”/“Hermana” Guerra’s life was focused on and solely dedicated to the ministerial and evangelistic work of serving and pleasing Jesus Christ, the Lord, Savior, and Master of her life. She served in countless formal and informal capacities, sharing the Word of God with everyone she came in contact, everywhere she went…including Mexico, Central America, Israel, and Africa. Mom was an amazing, outstanding cook who readily shared her delicious food with any/everyone, never missing an opportunity to concurrently share the Word of God. She owned and/or operated multiple restaurants over the years, including the very popular “Taco Village” in south San Antonio. After “fighting the good fight, finishing the race, and keeping the faith,” (2 Timothy 4:7), as she entered into His very presence…according to the Word of God…she heard Jesus say “Well done, good and faithful servant. You have been faithful over a little; I will set you over much. Enter into the joy of your Master” (Matthew 25:23). The most appropriate decisions and actions that any of Mom’s family and/or Hermana Guerra’s friends can take to honor her Christ-focused legacy would be to “Seek God while He may be found,” (Isaiah 55:6), submit to Christ, who is “the way, the truth, and the life” (John 14:6), “Draw near to God” (James 4:8), “Do not forsake your mother’s teachings” (Proverbs 6:20), “Love the Lord with all your heart, soul, mind, and body” (Matthew 22:37), “Worship the Lord with reverence and rejoice with trembling” (Psalms 2:11), “Serve the Lord with all your heart” (1 Samuel 12:20), and “Love your neighbor as yourself” (Matt. 22:38). SERVICES Mom’s “Celebration of ETERNAL Life” will be held on Friday, June 30, 2023 from 6:00pm-9:00pm, with a Prayer Service at 7:00pm at Mission Park Funeral Chapels North. Funeral Services will be on Saturday, July 1, 2023 at 9:00am at the funeral home chapel, with interment to follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Park.
