Lucille Renee Stroman On the evening of February 22nd, 2021 Heaven gained another Angel. Lucille transitioned to eternal rest with her Lord and Savior and many loved ones. Lucille Renee Stroman was born baby girl Gould May 3rd, 1923 in Elemendorf TX to Clifford and Ora (Popham) Gould. Lucille was the oldest of ten children. Lucille helped her parents with their large family but found the time to meet the love of her life, Roy and then began caring for her own family of four children. She worked for almost twenty years for Bexar County Bank and later worked as an Office Manager for a local doctor. Lucy always put her family before herself and could be found running from store to store to use her coupons or to get the best deal on basic necessities. Lucy was a devout Christian and long-time member of McCauley Baptist Church, she taught Sunday School for many years and genuinely enjoyed sharing her love and passion for the Lord. Lucille could often be found loading up her car with neighborhood children to attend Sunday School and Vacation Bible School. Lucille known to us as Mom, Aunt, Grandma and Nanny loved being surrounded by family and friends, she never met a stranger and always had room for one or many more at the table. Her door was always open, and everyone was welcome, if you happened to stop by on a Sunday afternoon you were guaranteed to be served her delicious pot roast and all the trimmings. Beside raising her family, attending church and running kids to ball fields for the many baseball games her sons and nephews played, she always found time to get in a good game of Dominos or Canasta. Lucille had been an avid bowler, she rolled on many leagues and was incredibly competitive. She always did her best and wanted to win. Lucille was preceded in death by her loving husband Roy, daughter Joyce, sons Dale and Robert, granddaughter Tracey, parents, siblings, cousins, nieces and nephews, plus many dear friends. Lucy leaves behind many loving family members, son Roy and wife Vicki, Sisters Arlis Long (Marcus) and Ginger Walker (Dennis), Son-in law Lee Johnson, grandchildren Terri, Robin, Lonnie, Larry, Larissa, Melissa, Dennie, Scott, Brandon, Emily, Michelle and Gary; 22 Great Grandchildren, 6 Great Great Grandchildren and numerous Nieces, Nephews and dear friends. The family will host visitation Friday March 5th 5:30-8 PM (masks required) Mission Park Funeral Chapels South, 1700 SE Military Dr, San Antonio, TX. A Funeral Service will be officiated by Bro Scott Quidley on Saturday March 6th at 11:00 (the family kindly requests masks be worn) at McCauley Baptist Church, 714 McCauley Ave, San Antonio, TX, followed by a private graveside service. Funeral service will be streamed live @Mccauleybaptist.org.
