Tributes

Lupe Herrera Cortinas born on December 25, 1920 went to be with the Lord on November 19, 2014 at the age of 93. She was a devoted Catholic and member of the Guadalupanas. Lupe was a caring mother and proud grandmother. She loved being surrounded by family and friends and could often be found at the heart of the party. She had a youthful spirit and playful demeanor. Children were Lupe's love in life she was always happy and excited to welcome a new addition to her ever growing family. One of Lupe's favorite pastimes was dancing, her health allowed her to do so well into her 80's; she also loved to win at bingo. She is preceded in death by Juan S. Martinez, Francisco E. Cortinas, and Santos Garcia; her loving parents David and Isabel Herrera, son Francisco E. Cortinas Jr and granddaughter Dani M. Guzman. She is survived by her numerous family members: Son Juan H. Martinez Jr married to Maria, he has blessed Lupe with 4 grandchildren; Deborah, Juan III, Barbara, and Martin. They have blessed her with 10 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Daughter Yolanda M. Flores married to Daniel, she has blessed Lupe with 2 grandchildren; Gabriel and Danielle. They have blessed her with 4 great-grandchildren. Son Jesse H. Cortinas married to Helen, he has blessed Lupe with 5 grandchildren; Jesse Jr, Ismael, Frank, Bernedette, Brian and Kimberly. They have blessed her with 14 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren. Son Ismael H. Cortinas married to Diane, he has blessed Lupe with 2 grandchildren; Brandi and Ruby. They have blessed her with 7 great-grandchildren. Son Jose H. Cortinas married to Isabel, he has blessed Lupe with 6 grandchildren; Valerie, Bianca, Laura, Alexia, April, and Jose Jr. They have blessed her with 15 great-grandchildren. Daughter Maria I. Guzman married to Hermilo, she has blessed Lupe with 4 grandchildren her surviving children are; Hermilo Jr, Michael and Sara. They have blessed her with 9 great-grandchildren. Daughter Lucia C. Carrillo married to Manuel, she has blessed Lupe with 4 grandchildren; Maria, Manuel Jr, Lupe and Angelica. They have blessed her with 9 great-grandchildren. Daughter Elena Cortinas-Garza married to JB Garza, she has blessed Lupe with 3 grandchildren; Ruby, Rachael, and Melody. They have blessed her with 13 great-grandchildren. Son Rudy H. Cortinas married to Sandra, he has blessed Lupe with 3 grandchildren; Rudy Jr, Ambrocha and Frankie. They have blessed her with 4 great-grandchildren.
