Mack Charles Stallcup Born November 22, 1937 in Three Rivers, TX, the oldest child of Sam & Clara Stallcup. Bro. Mack went to claim his crown on June 3, 2013 at the age of 75. A "Fisher of Men and Women" since1946, and ordained as a minister at the age of 12, preaching his first message on John 3:16 that following Easter Sunday. Bro. Mack proudly served his country in the military from 1959 – 1962. Married his "sweetheart", Doris Aline Boyle in December 22, 1961. He is survived by his beautiful, loving wife Doris, children Charles & Paula Stallcup, David Stallcup, Michelle & Ron Fix, 10 grandchildren Brooke & Robert Dazey, Daniel, Brittany, Zachary, Jacob, Carter, Brianna, Clara, Braelyn& Trey and 1 great grandchild Ryan, 3 sisters, 2 brother in laws, and many nieces and nephews. He worked for the Ford and Lincoln Motor companies for 42 years, retiring as "Shop Foreman" from North Park Lincoln. He was a leader in the Southside community, serving on the Southside Independent School Board for 15 years. An avid and devoted SPURS fan since 1973!Mack enjoyed being outdoors fishing and hunting. Also, recently confirmed tribal member of the Lipan Apache tribe of Texas. He served at Southside Baptist Church for 51 years in many capacities; deacon, minister of music, Sunday school teacher, Bible study leader and Associate Pastor. His love for Jesus and God's written word was the center point of his life. He was the spiritual rock and leader of his family and for that matter his community. His constant reading and studying was in his words "to get closer to God." He would always remind those who may have trials or tribulations to always "Give God the Praise". Even through his illness the past three years, he never complained or blamed. His testimony rings through, in his words, that"we are in HIS hands". HIS plan for us is to live everyday as the Lord's day. Mack would attend every church service on Wednesday nights and twice on Sundays, every grandchild's dance recital and competition, band concert, football, basketball & soccer game, track meet, gymnastics competition, grandparent's day and of course SPURS game he could. There was never a day that went by that Mack did not thank the Lord for that day. As he would say "the bells are ringing the birds are singing…" He will forever be remembered as a child of God, husband, father, pawpaw, grandpawpaw, brother, uncle, teacher, preacher, pastor, and friend in Christ. Let's pray that we can continue his testimony by seeing the face of Jesus in us all. Viewing and visitation will be Sunday, June 9, 2013 from 3-6pm and Celebration service on Monday, June 10, 2013 at 10am at Dellcrest Funeral Home 2023 S. WW White Road, followed by interment in Mission Burial Park South.
