It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Manuel F. Garza, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend, who gained his heavenly reward on February 15, 2025, at the age of 93, in San Antonio, TX. He was born on June 2nd, 1931, in San Buenaventura, Coahuila, Mexico. He is preceded in death by his parents Felix Valois Garza de la Rosa and Carolina Falcon Martinez. Manuel was a devoted Catholic who lived a life of faith, service and love for his family and all who knew him. He was united in marriage to his loving wife, Mary Alice for 53 years, until her death on 11/12/14. They together raised a close-knit family. Manuel was father to three children: Mary Helen (spouse Ralph Martinez), Elizabeth (spouse Eduardo Jauregui) and Manuel (spouse Diana Aranda). He was also a proud and loving grandfather to 9 grandchildren: Daniel, Nina, Austin, Phoenix, Rio, Matthew, Nicolas, Victoria and Olivia. Manuel met the second love of his life, Maria Aurora and was married to her for 9 years until the date of his death. He was joyful to have a second family to share his affections including the children of Aurora: Jesus(spouse Leticia), Gerardo(spouse Narcedalia), Susanna and their grandchildren: Guillermo, Jonathan (spouse Kelsey Cayeros), Jaziel (girlfriend Michelle), Susanna, Janeth, Jesus, Monique and great grandchildren: Isabella and Evelyn, Alma, Agatha, Anibal In his life, Manuel had many interests. He worked as a life insurance agent for Southern Life and Health until his retirement at age 55 but then he continued to work as an independent agent because he couldn’t slow down! He enjoyed traveling all over the world, family get-togethers, hanging out with his neighbors, dancing to cumbias, having his cafecito! He never met a stranger! He was known for his stoicism but also quick wit as well as his dedication to his family and his unwavering devotion to his faith. Manuel’s legacy of love, generosity and devotion will live on through the many lives he touched. Manuel will be deeply missed by his family and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
