February ___9th 1946____ to October 30,2016 At the age of _70____ ,Manuel V.Rodriguez Jr., a loving husband, father, son, brother,grandfather, great grandfather and friend went to be with the Lord after a sudden motorcycle accident on Sunday October 30,2016. Manuel, was born to Manuel _ and _Elisa Rodriguez____ in Sinton____ , TX. He is preceded in death by his father; grandparents Elogio and Marcela Villarreal; and sister Minerva_. Everyone who knew Manuel could never leave his presence without a good laugh and a few words of wisdom. He lived a successful life, being a graduate of St.Mary’s University with a degree in Criminal Law and held his own practice in San Antonio, where he dedicated his time to providing justice to the community. Although his chosen career was a great illustration of the compassion and grace he had for people, Manuel’s true display of his love and character is better shown through the family legacy he leaves behind. Manuel is survived by his wife Ana Laura Huetra; mother; sisters Elida Gonzales (wife of David Gonzales); Anna Guerra (wife of Frank Guerra) _; Julia and Lenore; seven children: Ricardo Rodriguez, Margie Rodriguez, Reynaldo Rodriguez (husband of Nadia Rodriguez), Rose Mary Valles (wife of Ignacio Valles), Rudy Rodriguez (husband of Cynthia Rodriguez), Monique Zinzun (wife of Javier Zinzun), and Manuel “Jr” Rodriguez; along with 19 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren. Aside from his career, Manuel enjoyed fishing, family cookouts at “the ranch”, and spontaneous road trips. He always knew how to cherish the time he had and lived his life to the fullest. Now, the office chair at the Law office of Manuel V Rodriguez may no longer be vacant, the mugs may no longer be filled with endless refills of coffee, and you may no longer be able to embrace his hugs while taking in his unique scent, but the memories of him will never be forgotten. The family and loved ones mourn for the loss of his physical presence, but rejoice in his new life with our eternal father. The viewing will be held on Thursday, November 3,2016 at Brookehill Funeral Home from 2-9; prayer being at 7pm followed by funeral services on Friday November 4,2016 at 11am.
