Maria De Los Angeles (Angela) Flores June 1, 1925 – March 22, 2017 Beloved wife and mother, Maria De Los Angeles (Angela) Flores, has left her earthly surroundings to be greeted at the Gates of Heaven by Our Lord Jesus Christ; and her beloved husband Henry Sr, her beloved son Henry Jr (Terry) and our little angels, her grandson Angel and great-grandson Cyrus. She also joins her parents, Ezequiel and Francisca Campos, her Tia…Abuelita Chelo, and her brothers and sisters. Left behind to cherish her memory are her children: Robert (Rosie), Rick (Sara), Dolores (David), Joe (Pat) and Lupe (Carlos). Her grandchildren, who she loved with all her heart: Adrian (Donna), Cindy (Gabe), Chris; Ruben (Lori), Roberta, Roxie, Rosendo; Efrem, Emily, Becky; Lydia (Louie), Ronnie (Diane), Jennifer (Richard), Jolene (Chris), Joey; April (Lupe), Sheila, Sophia (David), Tiffany, Carlos Jr. Her great-grandchildren: Adamina, Alex, Lily, Nico, Kaitlynn, Markie, Little Henry, Anisa, Mia, Audrey, Joshua, Noah, Meghan, Zoe, Araceli, Raven, Little Richard, Claudia, Juno, Nick, Nicole, Ariel, Joshua, D’Ann, Alyssa, Jazmine and Emerie; and great-great-grandchildren: Mila and Franky. She also leaves behind her brothers, Jesse and Vero Chico; and numerous other family members, friends, and loved ones. Mother was born on 1 Jun 1925 and grew up in a family of migrant workers. As a little girl, she was taken by her Grandmother with whom she lived with and received a sheltered life. She shared stories of playing with paper dolls and Jacks with her Grandmother, and of her Grandfather, who would carry her on cold mornings from her bed to lay on the floor next to the wood burning stove…to keep her warm. They bought her ice cream. After her grandmother’s death, she lived with her aunt, Abuelita Chelo, who taught her how to be a responsible young lady. Angela was a wonderful mother and friend to everyone. Her special dishes of tamales, chile, bunuelos, and empanadas filled the bellies of many and satisfied our love of her cooking. She was most proud when her grandson Adrian told her he wanted to start a business selling her chile. On Halloween she would make her delicious/like no other popcorn and chicken salad sandwiches! For many years we all gathered in her dining room for Sunday breakfast and spent every holiday with her and our dad. She was always willing to help whoever needed her…she will be loved, missed, and always remembered as a wonderful mother. We lovingly let her pass into the arms of our Beloved Daddy, her Honey Henry Sr, and our Beloved Brother, her firstborn Henry Jr. She will be by Angel and Cyrus…to love and nurture them. April 5, 2017 at Alamo Funeral home with a rosary to begin at 7:00 p.m. The funeral mass will be at 12:00 noon at St. James Catholic Church on Thurs. April 6, 2017. Burial will follow at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery.
