Maria Hilda Del Toro Aleman was born on July 5, 1948, to her late mother and father Elma Molina and Leonardo Del Toro. She was the second oldest of seven siblings and was the mother to six sons. Hilda went to be with the Lord on June 29, 2023, at the age of 74. She was preceded in passing by her loving husband Pedro Martinez Aleman Sr. Our mother loved her husband, their life was a love story that they shared with the world. She loved our father. He was the love of her life. Our mother raised six children, she taught her children how to love, to be caring and to be strong. Her children were always her first priority. She worked hard to make sure her children were provided for. Her love for her children was only surpassed by her love for grandchildren. Not a day would go by that she would not ask how her babies were doing. In her words, “Our grandchildren became the loves of our lives.” Our mother and father shared a deep faith with the Lord. She and her husband were highly active and involved in Encuentro Matrimonial Mundial. They retired after 19 years with the organization. Their commitment to the Encuentro Matrimonial Mundial took them all over the U.S and to Mexico. As our mother would say” we lived a good life, Thank GOD!” Through God their faith grew stronger, and their relationship grew as well. Our mother was a very proud woman she worked hard for her family. As a child, she and her family would spend the summer picking fruit in California. She would later work for the San Antonio Police Department transcribing police reports by typewriter. She would then join the U.S Army Reserves and serve for five years. Our mother was very proud to serve. Finally, she retired from AT&T after working for thirty years. Although retired, she worked part-time at Cracker Barrel. She worked hard and was proud of all the work she did. Our mother’s greatest act was caring for our father. Our father was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma in 2019. She stood by his side for two years and cared for him as his personal nurse and caretaker. During these two years their love grew deeper and closer. She did not falter, she did not wavier. Our mother showed all those around her what it meant to care for those whom she loved. In her final act, she showed those she loved how to stay strong in the face of adversity. Her strength never wavered, her humor never lost her smile, and her love for her family never faded. She is survived by her loving children, Anthony and wife Virginia, Sergio and wife Rosa Maria, Joey and wife Megan, Pedro and wife Alicia, Pablo and wife Samantha, and her son Miguel. By her grandchildren Anna, Anthony, Richard Anthony, Monica, Sergio Jr, Patrick, Mikey, Rosita, Jett, Angelina, Zoey, Cameron, Sydney, Aiden, Ethan, Jason. By her great grandchildren Ariana Marie and Aniella Ann. By her Siblings Maria Nelda, Maria Irma, Elia, Leonardo Oscar, Jose Osvaldo, Jorge Luis and by numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will begin on Monday, July 10, 2023 at 5:00 p.m. with a rosary to begin at 6:00 p.m. at Mission Park Funeral Chapels South. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, July 11, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at St. James the Apostle Catholic Church with a procession from the funeral home at 9:30 a.m. Interment will follow at San Jose Burial Park.
