Marian Alita Tuseth King, age 91 passed into Glory October 17, 2013. She is survived by her children Reinette Alecozay and Bradley Craig King, both of San Antonio. She is also survived by nephews, Robert Tuseth of Fountain Valley, California: Richard Tuseth of Chicago, Illinois and Steve Tuseth of Anaheim, California; cousin Alice Tuseth of Minneapolis, Minnesota, second cousin Coe Wilson of Petit Jean Mountain Arkansas; Coe's son Mike Wilson and his son Stephen Wilson, both of San Antonio and a host of other wonderful relatives and loving friends. Marian was born in Fergus Falls, Minnesota to concert musicians Emil C. Tuseth and H. Onieta Tuseth. When she was very young, the family moved to San Benito, Texas, and later relocated to San Antonio, where she grew up. She completed her parents' eight year conservatory of music by age 13. She taught music at the San Antonio Music Company, and graduated from Fox Vo Tech High School. She was a statistical typist at Fort Sam Houston, Texas during WWII. Marian taught music for over 50 years including organ, piano, accordion, vibra harp and voice. She lived in Lawton Oklahoma from 1961-1971. While there, she served as secretary at St Paul's United Methodist Church, taught music and opened her own business, The Needle Nook where she taught knitting, crocheting and other needlework. Since moving to San Antonio with her children in 1971, she taught organ and piano, served as secretary of Central Christian Church, worked as secretary at Alamo Cement, Person to Person, a welcome service company and served in several capacities at Region 20 Educational Service Center. With a heart of community service, she served as secretary of the El Dorado Homes Association under four presidents. A people person, her witty sense of humor entertained all. She is loved and cherished by many friends and family members. She loved God with all her heart, soul, mind and strength and loved her neighbor as herself. Visitation is Saturday October 26 from 3:00-5:00 pm at Mission Park North Funeral Chapel on 3401 Cherry Ridge San Antonio, Texas 78230. Services will be held Monday morning at 11:00 AM October 28 at the Cornerstone Church Chapel at 18755 Stone Oak Parkway, San Antonio, Texas 78258.
