Mark Anthony Rivera 1969 – 2024, age 55, completed his journey to paradise on May 20, 2024. He was the first born to Jose and Virginia (DeLuna) Rivera. Mark loved to go fast and “drive”, first riding his bicycle then driving. His stories about riding all over Manhattan when he was young and being gone for the entire day were repeated often. He was all about cars. Every free moment of his life he was either fixing them or watching shows on how to fix them. He talked about and missed his beloved Monte Carlo frequently. He fixed just about anything for anyone. If he didn’t know how to fix it, he “You Tubed” it. He always put people first. It did not matter if he just met you or knew you forever, he was there to help. He married Tina (Digilio) in November 2000 and welcomed his son, Mark Anthony Jr. a mere 9 months later. His life was his family. We laughed loudly and loved each other immensely. Our home was always happy and full of life. Although he was always a gentle soul, he protected us fiercely. He is so proud of his son. Mark was a wonderful father and husband. Mark was preceded by many including his grandmother, Dora Rivera, whose love for him was unwavering. He leaves behind his loving wife, Tina: his only son, MarkAnthony Jr. His parents Jose and Virginia Rivera, his brother Dominick (Clarissa) Rivera, his sister Melissa Rivera. He also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews as well as aunts, uncles, cousins and in laws who loved him so much. His very good friends Robert Nunez and Valerie Ornate were also left behind. Services to celebrate Mark Rivera will be held on Tuesday, May 28, 2024, 2:00 – 8:00 PM and Wednesday, May 29 12:00 – 2:00 PM at Misson Park – Medical Center, 8332 Fredericksburg Road, San Antonio, Texas. Procession will leave at 2:00PM to St. Brigid Catholic Church, 6907 Kitchener St. San Antonio, Texas for the 2:30 Rosary followed by 3:00 PM Mass. 7 Kitchener St., San Antonio, TX 78240 Mark Rivera will be remembered as a loving husband, proud father, son, brother, nephew, and friend. His warmth, knowledge, and joy he brought to those lives he touched will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
