Marsha Dermont was born March 22nd, 1961, to Edward and Lois McDonald in Ruislip England. She went to be with the Lord on May 1, 2025. She is preceded in death by her husband Guy Dermont, her father Edward McDonald, and her brother Kenneth McDonald. She is survived by her mother Lois McDonald; her three sons Stanley, Aaron, and Jason; her long-time partner Cam; her sister Michele Hensley and husband Ed; her brother Kevin McDonald and wife Leah; her sister-in-law Cathy McDonald (wife of the late Kenneth); her grandchildren Kiersten, Luke, Corbyn, Timothy, Logan, and Faye; and her great-grandchild River. Marsha excelled in her 30-year career as a highly respected Financial Analyst with the Department of Defense, retiring from Brooke Army Medical Center. Known for her incredible strength – second only, perhaps, to her mother Lois – Marsha was fiercely independent and strong-willed. Once her mind was made up, there was no changing it, and she wouldn't hesitate to tell you exactly how things were; her sons fondly remember her as the only one who could keep their dad in line. Among her 3 sons' fondest memories are their unforgettable adventures: trips to the lake, visits to the coast to see their Aunt Terry and Uncle David, and a particular favorite, visiting the swimming hole in Pipe Creek, especially during the legendary 'September Party'. She enjoyed watching friends play disc golf and simply being by a river, lake, or coast. In recent years, 'The Ranch' with her partner Cam became her cherished sanctuary – if her phone went to voicemail, family and friends knew that's where she'd be, enjoying the peace and company of her closest friends. Marsha’s life and memory will be lovingly celebrated by her family, colleagues, and the many friends whose lives she touched. Services will be held on Saturday May 10th, 2025, at the Fred J. Tips Mausoleum located at Mission Burial Park North. Visitation will begin at 11 A.M. with a 12:00 P.M. Funeral service and committal to follow.
