Mary C. “Macias” Yanez, born in Kyle, Texas on April 9, 1927 went to be with the Lord on November 9, 2020 at the age of 93 years and 7 months. SHE DID IT HER WAY, passing away peacefully in her sleep at her home. She is preceded in death by her Parents: Secundino Sr. and Rita Ramos Castillo, her beloved Son: Lance Corporal Steve Macias, USMC: Son and Daughter-in-law David Charles and Diana J. Macias: Brothers, Ismael, Elias, Francisco “Frank”, Jose “Joe”, Ricardo “Richard” Castillo. She is also preceded in death by her former Husband, Jose A. Macias Sr. and her beloved Husband, Trinidad U. Yanez. She is survived by beloved Sons, Jose Antonio Jr., Jesus, Raul, Michael Thomas (Irma), Andy (Lisa) Macias, Step-Son: Alexander R. Yanez ( Mary Josephine) and Beloved Daughter: Gloria Basaldua. She is also survived by her estranged daughter: Elizabeth Sosa, 3 sisters and 2 brothers: Eufemio”Ray” and Secundino “Sac” Castillo Jr. She leaves behind 19 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, 3 step-grandchildren and 6 step-great grandchildren whom she loved so very much and they all loved her back even more. Our Mother leaves behind an abundant amount of Family and Friends and a great number of casino tour buddies. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 24, 2020 from 3:00p.m. to 9:00p.m. with a rosary to begin at 7:00 p.m. at Alamo Funeral Home, 624 N. Alamo, San Antonio, Texas 78215. A Funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, November 25, 2020 at 10:00a.m. at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 617 S. Santa Rosa, San Antonio, Texas 78204 with interment to follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery. . Due to Covid-19 mandates, limited seating capacity will be available at the funeral home. Face coverings are required. Please wear the color Red as we will not be mourning our beloved mother, instead we shall be celebrating her life. Note from Gloria: A huge heartfelt gratitude to my mom's PCP, Daniel Juarez, MD P.A.& Her Cardiologist Jose Font-Cordoba, M.D. & their staffs.
