Monica Herrera Moczygemba claimed her eternal victory to be with Jesus on July 30, 2023, in Mico, Texas. She was born on May 4, 1965, in Mexico City, Mexico to Vicente Herrera and Esther Juarez Herrera. Monica was preceded in death by her father; and her father-in-law, Richard Arthur Moczygemba. She is survived by her mother; and her beloved husband of 34 years, Richard Moczygemba, Jr.; daughter, Michelle Tucker (Seth); son, Richard Moczygemba, III (Imari Kirklin); sisters, Norma Herrera, and Sandra Leguizamo (Miguel); brothers, Samuel Herrera (Renata) and Jose Herrera (Joana); grandchildren, Amelia and Josiah Tucker. Monica was wholeheartedly full of love, kindness, compassion, and the Holy Spirit. She never missed an opportunity to pray for someone or speak life over them. She loved reminding everyone they are a daughter or son of the Most High King. Loved speaking about how the Bible is full of God’s promises over our lives and how we need to always be soaking in his Presence. There were times when the Holy Spirit would give her an assignment in a grocery store to pray over a stranger, and she would fulfill it with much boldness. She did not care if they might have thought it was strange because she was solely doing the work of the Lord. Even with the intense health battles of the past two years, she never lost her faith, joy or focus on Jesus. She combatted with worship, reading her Bible and constant prayer. We will deeply miss our Monica; however, we are fully confident she’s in Heaven dancing with Jesus. We all now have the responsibility to carry on her stories and testimonies that give glory to God, sustaining the same spiritual diligence, resilience, and courage. SERVICES Visitation will be held on Friday, August 4, 2023, from 5:00pm-8:00pm, with a Celebration of Life Service at 6:00pm at Mission Park Funeral Chapels North. A celebration worship service will follow on Saturday, August 5, 2023, at 4:00pm at Gateway Fellowship Church in Bandera Texas.
