Morgan M. Alsobrooks, Jr. 5/03/1940 – 12/09/2015 Morgan Melvin Alsobrooks, Jr. joined his Lord and Savior on December 9, 2015. Morgan was born in San Antonio, TX on May 3, 1940. Morgan was married to his beloved wife Ginger for 52 years. He was a loving husband, outstanding father and proud Papa. His passions included classical opera music, tennis, singing and above all spending time with his family, grandkids and great grandkids. Morgan attended Holy Rosary School as a young child and went on to become a proud Alumni of Central Catholic High School in San Antonio, TX. Morgan was a well-respected Real Estate Broker for most of his career in San Antonio working for numerous builders. He deeply loved his four daughters, Clare, Stephanie, Julie & Holly and dedicated much of his time to his grandchildren. Morgan's grandchildren were his passion throughout his life and he dedicated much of his time to their activities as well as spiritual guidance. Morgan was very proud of his grandchildren; Amanda and spouse Tyson Dabell, Brianna Walker, Cody and Kristyn Phillips, Kayla/Hannah/Alexa/Jacob Moreno, Maci and Colton Pool. He was also especially proud of his great grandchildren Sofia Gomez, Harper and Ryder Dabell. Morgan was always true to his Catholic faith by serving through acts of kindness to many charities for those less fortunate. He loved to sing our Lord's praises through many different events and Masses. One very proud moment was his opportunity to sing at Catholic Masses in Medjugorje, Yogoslavia. He loved his Lord God and never wavered from his belief that each of us has a higher purpose. Morgan was preceded in death by his mother and father Morgan Sr. & Cecelia Alsobrooks, siblings Douglas and Ernest Alsobrooks & Marilyn Graham. Morgan is survived by his wife Ginger Alsobrooks, daughters, Clare and spouse John Poutra, Stephanie Alsobrooks, Julie Alsobrooks, and Holly and spouse Cary Pool; siblings, Irma Cothren, Charleen and spouse Merlin Weiderstein, Carl and spouse Marsha Alsobrooks, and Connie Stewart; grandchildren Amanda and spouse Tyson Dabell, Brianna Walker, Kayla/Hannah/Alexa/Jacob Moreno, Cody and Kristyn Phillips, Maci and Colton Pool; great grandchildren Sofia Gomez, Harper and Ryder Dabell. Visitation will be Sunday, December 13, 2015 from 6 – 9 p.m. at Mission North Funeral Home with a rosary to be recited at 7 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church on Monday, December 14, 2015 at 10 a.m. Interment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in San Antonio, TX.
