Our beloved sister Nancy Wolter went to be with our Lord on March 7. 2015 after a lengthy courageous battle with cancer. Nancy was born on February 6, 1954 in San Antonio Texas to Harold E. and Wanda Kickeritz Wolter. She is survived by her brother Wayne Wolter and wife Judy of Universal City, TX. Her nephew Garrett Wolter of Portland, Oregon and her nephew Kevin Wolter and his wife Melissa of Cedar Park, Texas, a great niece Amelia Wolter, and nephew Nixon Wolter also of Cedar Park as well as several aunts, cousins and numerous good friends. After graduating from Highlands High School she went on to earn a BA in accounting at Trinity University. She was then hired by Exxon as an accountant and moved to Houston. Her career included a brief time with Superior Oil and then Mobil Oil which took her to Dallas for 16 years. Mobil then merged with Exxon and Nancy moved to Sugarland and worked back in Houston. During her career she was active in the Business and Professional Women organization of Las Calinas and served as the chairman for United Way for Mobil for several years. After 35 years of accounting in the oil business she retired from Exxon-Mobil in 2011. A year ago she moved back to the San Antonio area and spent the last 8 months in Sodalis Assisted Living Community in Garden ridge, TX. Nancy loved to travel and she and her mother tried to make at least one trip a year. Their favorite places were Sanibel Island, Fl. and Vancouver B.C. They also visited San Francisco, Seattle, Las Vegas and several states on the east coast. An Alaskan cruise and a trip to London were also part of her travels. Nancy was a season ticket holder of Broadway musicals in Dallas as well as a big fan of the Texas Rangers. She made many trips back to Dallas after moving to Sugarland to join her friends in attending these events. She was an avid San Antonio Spurs fan too. Nancy had several favorite charities. If you would like to make a donation in her name they are: St. Jude's Children's Hospital, Habitat for Humanity, the American Cancer Society, or your local animal shelter. A graveside service will be held Saturday, April 11, 2015 at 2:00 P.M. at Mission Burial Park South
