Ninfa Muniz Villarreal Born: November 10, 1925 - D’ Hanis, Texas to Natividad Gonzalez-Muinz and Andres Muniz. Died: January 3, 2024- San Antonio, Texas She is preceded in death by her parents, beloved husband of 56 years, Edward Cavazos Villarreal, her sisters, Guadalupe Noyola, Gloria Muniz, Mary Jane Blake, and her brothers Joseph and Juan Muniz. Ninfa was the perfect example of how hard work and dedication ensures prosperity for those she loves. As one of seven children, Ninfa was a staple support on her family ranch from a young age. She balanced caring for her siblings, attending grade school, picking cotton, and preparing meals for hungry ranch hands. When World War II broke out, Ninfa left school at 16 to support the war efforts by manufacturing bazookas. Once the war ended, Ninfa ensured a lucrative future by attending cosmetology school. While working as a stylist, fate brought Ninfa and Edward Villarreal together on the bus trip to their favorite place- the dance club. They were married in San Antonio. Texas on April 23, 1950. They welcomed two children in the years after, Edward Villarreal Jr. and Leticia Villarreal-Macias. Ninfa’s family was always her first priority and she worked hard to ensure they had a good life. She made every outing memorable, every birthday special, and every holiday magical. She devoted 20 years to her clients at National Hair Experts Salon to ensure her children received the best education. Even in retirement, Ninfa and Eddie purchased an apartment complex to secure their financial independence. After Eddie’s passing in 2006, she cared for her family and her garden without wavering. Ninfa was a woman who loved deeply and was loved in return. She was a strong woman, a thoughtful friend, and united her entire family under her banner of love and devotion to them. She was the cornerstone of her family and will be missed. She is mourned on this Earth by her sister, Josie Muniz Luna; her two children and their families; Eddie Villarreal (Tom Garza), Leticia Villarreal-Macias; her grandson Captain Gabriel Macias (Chelsea Kaye) and their two children, Layla and Judah. She will be missed by her numerous nieces, nephews, long-time friends, and sister-in-law Alicia Muniz.
