Pedro Villegas was born on January 18th, 1929 in Victoria Texas to Jose and Agapita Villegas. He went to be with the Lord on July 6th 2025. He is preceded in death by wives Aurora Ayala Peña and Mary Theresa Rodriguez. His siblings Elena, Herminia, Leonardo, Joe. Sons Peter Renee Villegas and Robert Rodriguez. Daughter in law Jody. He is survived by a wonderful blended family, Charles, Laura, Hector John, William, Peter and their spouses. Grandchildren Joseph, Christina, Melanie, Clarissa, Christian, Mark, Hector. Great grandchildren Ophelia and Maryelle. Sisters Delores, Martha and numerous nieces and nephews. And his longtime companion Marty Rivers. Raised in Monterrey Mexico, Pedro came back to the United States in search of a better life at the age of 14. He held various jobs until he enlisted in the US Army Air Force and was stationed in post WW ll Germany as an MP. After his discharge from the military in 1949 he returned to San Antonio. He worked as a butcher by day and went to night school. In 1952 he began driving a bus for the San Antonio Transit system. That same year he met his first wife Aurora Ayala Peña, they were married at Mission San Jose in 1953. In 1965, he went on to work for the US Post Office until his retirement in 1989. He married his second wife Mary Theresa in 1993 and they resided near his children who had settled in Seattle. In 1995 he and Mary returned to live in San Antonio and never looked back. They were were inseparable and enjoyed their time together until Mary’s passing in 2010. Pedro was a humble man who loved his family, his children, his friends and to live life to its fullest. He was a proud veteran who was always grateful for the opportunities this country gave him. His wit and sense of humor were unmatched and will be greatly missed. Pedro’s Chapel Service will take place at Mission Park Funeral Chapels North on Friday August 8th, 2025 at 12:00 P.M. with visitation starting at 10:00 A.M. A procession to Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery will take place following the service at 1:00pm, with a 1:30 pm arrival time (Shelter 3) for a Committal service with Military Honors..
