Ramiro D. Martinez entered eternal rest surrounded by his loving family on Friday, February 28, 2025, at the age of 85. He was born on April 22, 1939, in Jimenez, Coahuila, Mexico. Ramiro was a proud retired member of Iron Workers Local Union #66, where he dedicated many years of hard work and craftsmanship. Ramiro is survived by his beloved wife of 64 years, Concepcion M. Martinez; children Griselda Aguero, Maria Robles (David Sr.), Lulu Williams (Jim), Ramiro Martinez Jr. (Elisa), Bobby Martinez and Roger Martinez (Liz); grandchildren David Robles Jr., Carlos Aguero Jr. (Jenn), Daniel Robles (Jocelyn), Jonathan Aguero, James Williams IV, Roger Matthew Martinez (Skila), Ramiro Martinez III (Adrianna), Rene Martinez and Alyssa Martinez; 10 great-grandchildren; siblings Guadalupe Torres (Cresencio), Armandina Romero, Juan Antonio Martinez (Cruz), Esperanza Martinez; sisters-in-law Orfelinda Martinez, Rosalba Martinez and Dora Alicia Luevanos; brother-in-law Felipe Muzquiz (Teresa) along with numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents Juan Martinez and Francisca De Los Santos Martinez; son-in-law Carlos Aguero Sr.; granddaughter Loren Williams; siblings Estela Rodriguez (Augustin), Jose Martinez (Alicia), Tino Martinez and Ismael Martinez and brothers-in-law Ervey Romero, Alfredo Luevanos and Gilberto Muzquiz (Rosalinda). The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to nurse Veronica Guzman, CNA Paola Rivera, Chaplains Jesse and Brenda Saiz, Fr. Abel from St. Bonaventure Catholic Church, and Dr. Fernando Martinez for their care and support during his final days. Ramiro’s family was his greatest joy, and he leaves behind cherished memories with his loved ones. He was known for his kind heart, strong work ethic, and unwavering devotion to his family. He will be deeply missed, but his spirit will live on in the hearts of those who were blessed to know him. Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 9, 2025 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. at Mission Park Funeral Chapels South. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, March 10, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Bonaventure Catholic Church with a procession to depart the funeral home at 9:30 a.m. Interment to follow at Mission Burial Park South.
