Raul Sergio Lozano, 86, went to his heavenly home on Monday July 11, 2022. Born in Monterrey, Mexico on September 5, 1935, Raul was one of thirteen children born to Alfonso Lozano Farias and Maria Guadalupe Flores Aldape. At the age of 25, Raul found the love of his life and married Hilda DeLeon on August 9th, 1964. Two years later they began to establish their family and welcomed three children; the first being their daughter Hilda Yadira, followed by their first son Raul Sergio Jr., and lastly their son Luis Gerardo. Having come from a vast amount of experience raising and selling cabrito, he owned and operated a restaurant in Monterrey, Mexico. Seeking a better future for their growing family, Raul and Hilda decided to move to San Antonio, Texas in the early 70’s and started a new life. He took up a position in a machine shop for several years, then started working in construction where he would retire after 25 years. His passion was working with his hands, and building things was part of his nature; always being perfect in his workmanship and creativity. Raul was a generous and hardworking father who sacrificed many things with hopes to provide for his family’s best interest. Raul displayed many wonderful traits through his acts of kindness by helping family, friends and even work colleagues. Raul always looked for ways to help others in need and imparted his wisdom with those he loved most. Raul always put God first by praying constantly, showing mercy, and living a faithful life. He prayed over others every day and offered his service when someone was in in need. He was tender hearted with everyone, including animals, which he loved to care for, and made sure they always had food and shelter. His compassion and humbleness radiated through his words, actions, and lifestyle. Raul Sergio Lozano was preceded in death by his parents, Alfonso Lozano Farias and Maria Guadalupe Flores Aldape, two sisters, Juanita and Guadalupe, and three brothers, Alfonso, Francisco and Roberto. Raul is survived by his wife, Hilda Lozano; sisters Alicia, Graciela and Maria; brothers Ramiro, Luis Carlos and Javier; daughter Hilda Yadira Castellanos and Othoniel Castellanos; son Raul Sergio Lozano Jr. and Ana Lozano; son Luis Gerardo Lozano and Jennifer Lozano; grandchildren Yadira, Karla, Karina, Kayla, Sergio, Addison, David, Edwin, Arturo, Daniel, Juliana and Andrew. Visitation will be on Sunday July 17, from 4-5 P.M. for family only, 5-7 P.M. open to all, and the service will be from 7-9 P.M. at Mission Park Funeral Chapels Cherry Ridge, 3401 Cherry Ridge Dr, San Antonio, Texas.
