Our beautiful darling, Raven Faith Hernandez, resumed her position amongst the angels on Sunday, March 22, 2015 at the young age of 19. So incredibly full of life since the day of her birth, February 13th, 1996, Raven lived her short-lived life to the fullest. She was compassionate, generous, silly, so very funny and her contagious laughter blessed us with wonderful memories that we will cherish forever and ever. Yes, she was stubborn, but that stubbornness allowed her to be so very brave, and independent and she lived life fearlessly each and every day. We are proud to say that our beautiful daughter was happy and touched the lives of everyone who was privileged to know and love her. Raven graduated in 2014 from Stevens High School and had many goals that she will never be able to accomplish. However, her most valuable achievements were these: she was an exceptional grand-daughter, a loving and thoughtful daughter, protective and kind sister, fun-loving girlfriend, cheerful aunt and cousin, niece, and friend. We are devastated by this tragic accident that has taken our sunshine and dimmed the light in our world. Our lives will never be the same without our dear Raven Faith. Jacob, our daughter's heart belonged to only you and we love you so much for sharing your love and life with her. We are honored to say that she passed knowing she was loved completely by you. We are in debt to you and will love you always, son. Raven Faith is survived by her parents, Laura Sancho and her husband Steve, Roy Hernandez and his wife Marisa; her brothers Jacob Herrera and his son "Baby Jake" who loved his aunt wholeheartedly, Roman Castilleja and girlfriend Brandi Rodriguez, youngest brother Steven Sancho, Jr and loving sisters Amanda and Rena Hernandez; Her faithful boyfriend, Jacob Romero; Her maternal grandparents Alice & Steve Cochran and Rebecca Castilleja; Her aunt Monica Castilleja , cousins Aaron and all "the monkeys"; Her uncles Gabriel & Adrian Castilleja and JD Fernandez; Her paternal grandparents Dora & Pedro Valadez; Her aunts Monica and Maribel Valadez and their children; Her Uncles Tony, his wife Martha Hernandez and their children and Pete, his wife Kristen Valadez, Jr. and their children; Jacob's family who openly accepted her as their own: grand-father Jose Casiano, mother Maria Casiano, sister Amanda & husband Jesse Cevallos and their children Mia & Jesse who loved our daughter dearly. Our Raven also has two very faithful dogs who mustn't be left out: Rugrat and Roxi. They loved her unconditionally and filled her heart with laughter and joy always. Raven was survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, second cousins…the list could goes on and on. Please know that we love every one of you dearly and include you in our hearts. Every one of you made a difference in Raven's young life and we thank you so much for sharing your love with her. Thank you also to the staff at the Spaghetti Warehouse for welcoming her as an employee and friend. Lastly, we will forever be grateful to the staff at University Hospital Trauma Center for all of their efforts in our daughters care. You worked so effortlessly on our angel and we thank you for making a difference in people's lives every day. SAPD and SA Fire Department, first responders—we can never thank you enough. May God bless each and every one of you and protect you as you serve our community so selflessly every day of your lives. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Family and friends, we are heartbroken. Thank you so much for your love, support and kindness. Even though words fail us, please know that we are thankful for your support during this difficult time. Family will receive friends Friday, March 27, 2015, at 6:00 PM with a memorial service starting at 7:00 PM, at Mission Park Funeral Chapels North, 3401 Cherry Ridge.
